Mechanix Beginner Helicopter Building and Construction Toy STEM Education for Boys and Girls Age 7+ (Return Gift Set)

I bought this and Mechanix pocket Series monster buggies as my kid loves these stuff even though he hasn't reached the appropriate age for him to play with. We have to make it for him along with little of assistance from him (passing the spanner, screw & pieces). But i feel its been totally worth it. The idea was to develop his interest in the right place which you can do over a period of time. I already had a plastic version of mechano aeroplane set & also wanted to pick a metal coz of durability point of view.I agree with quite few of the reviews written that its not meant for young children but then the box clearly states it as well. I knew it but i still went ahead and bought for it & sit and play with my kid whenever possible. With you they learn and then gradually they become independent. It needs supervision & guidance for sometime. Also, it does take an effort to screw-in the pieces but that's okay.1. a quality product from inside to outside except for minor issue which is the plastic box inside which they had segregated the metal pieces, it just breaks after sometime (it so happened with the earlier mechano set that i bought for my kid). They really need to improve the quality of that box.2. many models given in the booklet for children to make (the child also tends to go beyond that by making his/her own designs)3. ample of screws, bolts and bars in different shape and size given to make the models given in the booklet. You will definitely not run short of anything while making.The 2 Mechanix was nicely packed inside an Amazon cardboard box and sent. Overall, a wonderful experience shopping with Primarc Pecan Toys & Amazon.

Plus: Starter kit for 5-6 year olds who might be interested in building stuff or curious about mechanical stuff. (You'll know when the child pulls apart the toys to see what's inside.)Minuses: Nuts and bolts are too small and likely to get lost. Without a proper screwdriver, the fastening is not very neat, get's misaligned.Suggestion: Make the wrench magnetic, so the nuts and bolts will stick to it in storage, rather than getting lost.

- While the overall product quality in terms of durability, quality and price is good, it is definitely not a product for a 7 year old child. Though the product offers a challenge in respect to skills and dexterity to adults as well, a 7+ year old kid definitely needs the help of an adult assemble the product. At times the pieces are so small that is becomes difficult to assemble the nuts and bolts both of kids and adult.- Feedback for manufacturer would be to make larger or bigger pieces so that a 7 year old can actually enjoy making the models.

This is a simple yet robust toy. Your kids needs to be patient enough to build the models. Skilful play toy. Make sure you don't lose those tiny parts/screws

its costly as compared to material delivered. it should be cheap so that common man can have access to it.
