It comes in a plastic bag with care instructions, and the front is clear so you can see the color of the lid before you open the package. The lid fits the Tervis cup great. It is great for use traveling to work, as it will keep your drink from spilling during the drive. Plus it keeps the drink even more insulated and will have hot beverages retain heat, and cold beverages stay cold longer. The lid is elongated where your mouth goes to drink, instead of staying the same shape all the way around. I really like this and I find it more comfortable to drink from. I also like that the little piece by the mouth slides up and down, instead of just having a little hole that allows heat to escape and things like bugs to find there way inside.
