Works Perfectly and Great Size!
I’m really happy with this Instant Pot Vortex Plus Mini air fryer. The 4-quart size is perfect for everyday use because it gives me enough room to cook a good amount of food without taking up a huge amount of counter space. It’s a great size for smaller meals, side dishes, snacks, and reheating food. I also like the stainless steel finish because it looks nice and fits in well with the rest of my kitchen appliances. It works perfectly and has been very easy to use. It heats up quickly and cooks the food evenly, and I’ve been very happy with the results. Having multiple cooking functions is also convenient since I can use it for more than just air frying, including broiling and dehydrating. The controls are straightforward, and I like being able to adjust the cooking settings depending on what I’m making. Overall, this has been a great addition to my kitchen and has quickly become something I use regularly. I’m very happy with the performance, size, and versatility, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable 4-quart air fryer.

Buy this!! After using for three weeks, we bought a second one!!!
I have had air fryers before and my Samsung range has an air fry feature. All of these sort of left me thinking air fryers were not really very good. Then I visited with friends who owned this air fryer. WOW!! This actually makes food BETTER than any other cooking method!! I use the 2 we have at least 3 x each a day. They are AMAZING!!! Everything comes out great. I had a bit of trial and error at first but even then the food was better than other air fryers. We cook steak, fish, burgers, fried breaded foods, biscuits, hot dogs, grilled cheese, other grilled sandwiches, frozen veggies, a small roast and more in it! The food is BETTER than cooking in a skillet on the stove, in my oven, or in the oil fryer. If it is not so for you, you are doing it wrong. Lol I actually use the air fry feature for nearly everything. If it is something that I haven't done yet, I ask Alexa for temps, duration and which method. We usually go with air fry, even with biscuits. Alexa sometimes gives inaccurate cooking times. I tend to add a minute or two to what she says lol. I could look it up of course in the info the air fryer comes with, but for me, Alexa is faster. We love this so much that I am getting rid of our indoor grill as I just don't use it now (and I love that grill...this is just easier, faster and way less clean up). I have read things about odor from the unit. I am sorry but come on...every new appliance has smells. You need to wash it as they suggest before first use. Then use it a couple times. That smell, which was minimal anyway, goes away. We are now going to buy a double basket side by side because this just makes amazing food. We use 2 x 4 qt units now. We are going to add the bigger, double basket one for when we have company or a bigger meal. I love the light feature and use it a lot to avoid opening the unit before time to flip. Noise? What noise? This thing is pretty quiet. Clean up is a breeze!!!! The controls are super easy to use. My son and husband, who rarely cooked for themselves, both use this now and they both love it!! So BONUS!! LOL Extra time for me! The size is great and it looks wonderful on our counters. It is easy to keep the outside of unit clean too. Just a quick wipe and done. My family now is eager to try new foods because of how wonderful this cooks everything! We have eating issues and autism issues in our home that makes new foods a challenge. Well, no longer. Since this cooked the foods they already loved BETTER, they now are not hesitant to try new foods. That alone is amazing! I have been fighting this eating thing for 20 years. Now, when we eat out, my son has more options when ordering because of this air fryer! And you may be thinking that perhaps I was just a bad cook. No. I am a good cook. I even ran a restaurant for years. People love my cooking. Now, I can cook even better. I am still blown away by that. The old way is no longer the best way. I am 61 so that realization was a bit mind blowing. Summary....Buy it. It will change your life!! I was honestly shocked but this cooks better than any other method. You will love it!!!

Easy to use, smaller foot-print. Nice for a single person.
I'm single. I've *SO* resisted the air fryer's because they are so freaking LARGE. But friends that have them, that actually use them, really love them. So I took a leap and ordered up the 4qt. I like the Instant Pot products and thought this would be the right one to try. I gotta say....I REALLY like it! It works really well for single or duo-size items. I don't have to use the oven for a single serving of lots of items - a big winner for the summer. And it re-heats items really, REALLY, nicely. It's a keeper! It's very easy to clean, the insert screen and the basket are non-stick so they clean well. It looks nice on the counter, and has a fairly small foot-print. For the money I think this is a nice item. I'd buy it again.

Don't Let the Size Fool You!
I absolutely love this air fryer! It's small and compact, but the basket is surprisingly spacious—about the same size as many larger models. It doesn't take up much counter space, which is exactly what I was looking for. It's also super easy to use, clean, and move around. The lightweight design makes it very convenient, and it looks so cute sitting on my countertop! And IT IS SILENT!!! If you want an air fryer that saves space without sacrificing cooking capacity, I highly recommend this one. I'm very happy with my purchase!

Excellent with some design flaws
I put this thing through its paces over five years, using it an average of once or twice per day. It reliably cooked great food for me, crispy, and fast, without having to turn on the big oven. I definitely got my money's worth. I do however have a couple of complaints. I had to replace the bottom tray yearly, as the non-stick coating would keep coming off. This wasn't a big deal, as they cost about $10 on Amazon. The bigger issue is why I just had to retire my air fryer. The metal basket part broke off from the plastic basket handle part, rendering the unit unusable. I repaired it a couple of times but it never held for long, due to a fundamental issue of binding the metal basket with three screws to a plastic handle part. The connection eventually wears down over time and there really aren't any lasting fixes I could think of for fixing the broken plastic screw receptacles.

So glad I purchased this!
It's perfect! I'm originally an Instant Pot Duo Plus owner, and I purchased that back in summer of 2020. In November of 2020, I decided to branch out and purchase the Instant Pot Duo Air-fryer Lid attachment just to get the air-fryer "experience" since I'd never tried one before. After 2 wonderful years of use, decided it was time to join the big guys and get a stand-alone airfryer because I found myself frequently using the air-fryer lid, more than I expected to. There were some cons with the lid, though, such as having to have your IP available to use with the lid, more to clean up since the air fryer bucket had to go into the inner liner and any juices or liquids that come off the food would go right into the inner liner itself which meant you had to clean both the bucket AND the inner pot of the Instant Pot. I still made it work though, because I LOVED cooking with that lid, and I managed to make so many good masterpieces with that thing! Fast forward, and my only regret about this stand alone air-fryer is that I didn't get it sooner! I absolutely LOVE IT! I did encounter that "plastic smell" during the test run, but it went away fairly quickly. First run it was pretty strong; by second run (made a small batch of fries), it was ever so faint, but quickly dissipated. By third run (put a couple Nathan's Hot Dogs in there), it was gone completely and all I could smell was the delicious food! I'm excited to cook some wings in it soon! I've cooked wings in my Instant Pot and crisped them using the air-fryer lid in the past, but it seems you can put the wings straight into the Vortex Plus air fryer: no need for that first step in the Instant Pot! very exciting and looks super roomy. Box says it can fit up to 2.5lbs of chicken which is plenty for me to eat plus have leftovers for a couple days, or even if I want seconds or thirds. I almost thought I would regret not getting the 6QT (I own a 6QT Instant Pot), but turns out the 4QT is plenty for a single person or maybe if you may cook for 1 or 2 other people (I don't tend to have a lot of house guests; normally it's just me and my college aged daughter), and it works out to about the same amount that would fit in the air fryer bucket that came with the lid attachment! The difference is in the Vortex everything is more spread out because of the shape and dimensions (I measured the air fryer basket on the 4QT and it is exactly 8in on each side. Would easily fit accessories that are 7.5" or smaller), but it fits the same amount of food and gets better circulation. Also, I see people complaining about the warning label on the front of the unit. Sure, you could easily remove it with isopropyl alcohol by loosening up the adhesive and then scraping it off, but it's there for a reason. Pretty sure removing it is classified under misuse of the product and would instantly void the warranty if anything were to go wrong and that label were missing from the unit. They'd (the company) def use that as an excuse to not help you with your issue(s) should they arise. So, I say suck it up and let the label stay. It's there for your own safety and protection in case anything goes wrong and you end up needing to get something replaced or serviced. If it's that serious, at least just move it to another part of the unit, like maybe the side or back, but def don't toss it out completely. I personally see no problem with it being where it is, so mine is going to stay put. All I care about is what the inside can do, not something as frivolous as a warning label on the outside. Anyway, I digress. I wanted to finish off by saying, I recommend this appliance and its size if you are a single person, or maybe a household of two; up to 3 persons. If you believe you are going to be making much larger portions of food, or larger batches for multiple ppl, then adjust accordingly and get the 6QT, 9QT, or even 10QT. I personally do not need anything that big, so 4QTs is plenty. Also I was so glad that I was able to measure the inner basket because it seems that information is so difficult to find anywhere. I mentioned it above, 8" X 8" square with rounded corners. I find that a lot of the accessories that will fit into the 6QT Instant Pot, will fit into the 4QT Instant Vortex Plus Air Fryer. So I will purchase accessories based on that information. Generally, anything between 7" and 7.75" will fit into it unless it's just very oddly shaped or something. I'm excited to cook a lot of my other favorite dishes in this unit, as well as dishes I've never tried cooking in it before! Worth the money spent! I chose the Instant Vortex Plus because Instant is a brand that I already have experience with, and therefore it's a brand I trust. I look forward to seeing what else they come out with.

Perfect size for 2 people!!
I love it! We replaced our old over the range microwave with one that has convection bake, air fry and other functions. I got rid of our Ninja countertop oven/air fry/broiler because I have such limited counter space. Also because it got so incredibly funky inside and I couldn’t keep it clean. But I still wanted a small air fryer. This 4qt unit is plenty big for 2 people and does exactly what I wanted. It’s really easy to clean and is 70% smaller on my countertop. I wash the basket after use and skip the dishwasher. Even better, I bought it during Prime Days at a reduced price. Yay! But this is worth the regular full price!!

Game changer
This air fryer does it all, and does it well! I am so happy with mine! I have tried all of the settings and it works like a charm! I bought it because it's just me here alone most of the time so I thought I would make smaller portion meals quick! And it does! It even baked cookies which I was happy about because I hate turning my stove on in the summer and it baked them just the way I like, soft and chewy! I'm sure it would make them crispy as well. But what a game changer for the summer time. I can have a meal that's hot without making it hotter in here. Or have a couple of people over, throw in some party wings and drums and we are good to go! I'm in a wheelchair and it's so easy to reach from the cupboard level, that is also a big reason I bought it! And it looks like I spent a lot for it, but I didn't! Just very pleased all the way around. I hope you will be too!

Quick and Easy
I have used this Air Fryer 4 times for steak and it had a lovely crispy crust and was tender inside. I bought Instant Pot brand because I love, love, love my Instant Pot Pressure Cooker and I also have a Multi-Cooker. Washes up so easy. Great appliances!

Excelente
Está más que bien para porciones pequeñas, en comparación con la vortex plus 6qt que también tengo, esta se le pega un poco más la grasa en el interior pero de ahí en fuera funciona de maravilla. Para dos personas aguanta muy bien.

Best Size for 1 or 2 People
I used the smaller version of this (2qt mini) and loved it ... did some work arounds to get it to cook amazingly for a couple years, but after talking to AI it was suggested to get the 4qt so that there greater distance (food from cooking element). With the 2qt I had to cook on lower temperatures to stop from burning (to close to top element). With the 4qt there is more room (food is farther away so less burning and more air circulation). Frozen fries are new 12 minutes at 400F and they are perfect (no burnt edges) Tater tots are perfect ... very crisp and soft in the middle. Looking forward to chicken wings !!
