Excellent product
I have used this product on driveways, unpainted fences, rock retaining walls, concrete blocks, brick walls unpolished landcape granite stones, paved pathways and composite decks. It cleans so well, that it eliminates need to pressure wash. Concrete Driveway was almost black, before application, however, now it has a newly laid look. I have been using his product near plants (not edible) and have noticed no damage. Yes, its hard to control overspray 100% of time. I love that rain, snow, wind are also the cleaning agents and I dont need to waste any additional water in cleaning. Water is expensive. Rock retaining walls look like newly installed and just made, after using this product. I have had people think 10 year old walls were installed a month ago. I also use it on pebble bed to keep cobblestones looking clean. It works. It keeps fences clean even after 2 years of application. It doesnt seem to attract as much moss, lichen mold etc. It does give it weathered clean light grey/whitish look, which I dont mind. It does NOT give a fresh brown wood look, like if you pressure washed it. One needs to be patient after using the product. It works slowly over a year. The best time to apply it is dry fall day, so the rains can help with cleaning, not to mention winter snow. After that once a year to year and a half, maintainence is more than enough. And come spring and summer, you can enjoy the cleaner surfaces. I also used it on cedar roof. I did excellent job with it. However, the roof was old and leaked after this application, requiring me to change the roof. My theory could be a combination of any: 1) It actually started eating the moss and mold between cedar shakes, that was actually like a barrier for water somewhat. my cedar shakes had only 2 to 5 years of life left and potentially cleaning it, reduced its life 2) I walked on roof to apply the product which could have strained old shakes. - There are special shoe fasteners that I overlooked wearing. The house damage was negligible and very promptly addressed, though I wish I didnt have that extra expense. That said, I would stay out of the roof - for the rest of my life and have a professional take care of business. I almost always have extra bottles on hand. It is extremely helpful to have a battery sprayer. I used a 1 gallon manual one for years and it works just fine. Battery sprayer is way faster and probably reduces the time by three quarters. i have not tried the other product from wet and forget that connects to the hose. Many have found difficulty in the way the spray works. I dont want to try something new when this works great. Moss, slowly wears off. Lichen growing on organic surfaces is the hardest, but it loosens that up too. I noticed that the lichen dries up and does not grow even after 2 years of application. I have used this product over 10 years now and this is a cumulative review.

THIS STUFF WORKS - effect lasts a long time too!
I live in the panhandle of Florida. Item arrived with a tag attached which said, in so many words, "Read the instructions thoroughly, or don't complain if it doesn't work." I took that to heart and was very meticulous in how I mixed and applied the product. Using a garden sprayer, I applied product to the sidewalk (28-ft 6-inches) immediately leading to my front porch on 1 October. I stopped there and did not treat the remainder of the walkway, so that I could see the contrast between the area treated and what wasn't treated (20-cups water and 4-cups product). One week later (9 Oct) I treated the same area again, this time with 25-cups water and 5-cups product. To date, I can see no significant difference. I do see small quarter-size blotches that appear to be cleaner, but there's a long way to go before I can declare the sidewalk as noticeably cleaner. Probably no fault of the product. It may not be intended to treat the type of stain on my sidewalk. Or, maybe I'm being too impatient! In any case, if I see any marked improvement, I will make it a point to update this review. I opted to try this product instead of using my pressure washer again because, although the pressure washer works, it tends to eat away at the surface of the concrete. Now granted, the instructions on the product state: "REACTION TIME - Once treated...stains may take up to 6 to 12 months to come clean in the very worst case scenario." But, this may not help folks who get complaints from their Homeowner's Assn. asking that they clean their sidewalk immediately. I have a little less than half-gallon remaining, which I will use. But, unless I see a significant difference in 6-months, it is unlikely that I will buy this product again. Results may be different for others. 11 Dec 2014 - Still no significant difference between the treated and untreated sidewalk. I have about a half-gallon remaining, which I will use on my brick to try to control the mold that's returning after a pressure wash I completed almost a year ago. 10 Dec 2015 - I upgraded my review from 4-stars to 5-stars. All I can say is: "THIS STUFF WORKS." A full year after applying it to my sidewalks, I have the cleanest pavement in the neighborhood! That includes my neighbor, who just had her sidewalk pressure washed earlier this year. It may take a while to work, but the effect is long lasting!

Wet & Forget... Too good to be true?
I heard about this product on a DIY talk show that I listen to on the weekends. It sounds too good to be true, but I'd hate to miss out on a possible good product! :) The pros: + VERY easy to apply with a spray bottle or pump sprayer. + Work great on exterior brick surfaces, like chimneys. + Advertised - 1 gallon concentrate makes 6 gallons of ready to use product. Covers approximately 750-2250 square feet. + Advertised - non-caustic, Non-acidic, Contains no bleach. + Advertised - safe on any outdoor surface. + Advertised - one step process... Wet & Forget! + Advertised - EPA approved one step process that requires no scrubbing or rinsing. + Advertised - safe around plants. + Advertised - continues to clean for up to a year. + Advertised - can be applied at any temperature above 32° & no rain is expected for 4-5 hours. The cons: - Update - 2016 - The price has really gone up in the last year, making this product VERY expensive! Yes, this is a concentrate & makes 6 gallons, but that over $5 a gallon! I dropped one rating star for this. - Work very s-l-o-w-l-y! Don't expect instant results on everything this product is applied to. It could take a month or longer for visible results. - Slight bleach like smell when it's first applied. Not bad, but not scent free. Closing comments: ▪ I sprayed the side of a shed & fencing that had green algae on it. By the next day, it wasn't green, looked white, which should wash off when it rains. :) When I was reading the instructions on how to dilute the concentrate... 1 part Wet & Forget Outdoor to 5 parts water, I thought there had to be easier instructions. I found this on the Wet & Forget website FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions). ▪ For a 1 gallon container or sprayer, add 2-1/2 cups (20 oz.) of Wet & Forget Outdoor concentrate & fill with water to the 1 gallon mark. ▪ For a 2 gallon container or sprayer, add 5 cups (40 oz.) Wet & Forget Outdoor concentrate & fill with water to the 2 gallon mark. ► Update - June 25, 2014 ▪ sprayed the green on the fence & on the concrete under our hose reel yesterday. Today, all that green is gone! Not everything I sprayed shows this kind of result, but so far, I'm impressed enough to up my product rating to 4 out of 5. :) ► Update -November 11, 2014 ▪ We sprayed the driveway + sidewalk yesterday & I can already see it working on the driveway! The long range plan is not having to pressure wash the algae off the concrete in the Spring. :) ▪ I just ordered another gallon so I'd have it on hand, ready to use. ► Update - November 18, 2015 ▪ Since I started using Wet & Forget on the sidewalk & driveway, I haven't had to do any power washing in years! :) ▪ This product is on the expensive side, so I shop around when I need more. The last 2 gallons I purchased cost me $24.97 a gallon at the Home Depot. If you buy 2 gallons on-line, the shipping is free! :) ► Update - March 9, 2016 ▪ I've been using this for years & it works as advertised. The down side is how expensive it's gotten! Last year I paid about $25 a gallon, this year it's $34 a gallon! ▪ The best price I could find this year is here on Amazon & in my opinion, it's expensive! :(

Great Product, Even Better Company Behind The Product
I read up on and purchased Wet and Forget specifically to remove stubborn lichens from fabric on metal deck chairs. Did two rounds of the "ready to use" outdoor formula and sprayer attached to the container with basically no improvement. Did a third round of the concentrate at a 1:4 ratio, using a SunJoe electric sprayer, following the directions EXACTLY (wet the furniture, apply, rinse after x amount of minutes, repeat) and still, no real improvement. It wasn't until I waited a few days, wet all of the chairs with a garden sprayer, and gently used a plastic bathroom scrubbing brush, that everything and I mean everything came off. It was amazing. I was upset at the company for steering me in the direction of the "ready to use" because it is NOT the solution for lichens regardless of what they say. But they made good and sent me a refund check for the first two purchases, I was impressed. I'll be using Wet and Forget concentrate with the sprayer proactively next season, to get ahead of the lichen situation before it gets out of hand. I now believe in this product and the company behind the product. Some additional advice, some of which is in their directions as well - wear a mask and gloves, the stuff is very irritating to eyes, skin and breathing; absolutely positively wait for a day with little to no wind; and try to schedule it on a day where it's not going to be too hot or sunny, the stuff really needs to soak in. But it works. I used some leftover solution on moss covered bricks as well as moldy siding and concrete, that stuff didn't stand a chance, Wet and Forget really works great on that stuff. But lichens are a lot tougher and require some additional work and elbow grease at the end. I'm a happy Wet and Forget customer and would recommend this product to anyone with similar needs. It really works. UPDATE 10/9/23 - another successful season with Wet and Forget. Regardless of the directions, I tend to use it full strength or close to full strength to take care of the substantial mold, moss and lichen growth that we get here on our deck and patio furniture. About 2 weeks ago, I noticed a major greening up on our front porch. Already power washed the house once this year, that's how fast this area grew back. Purchased one large jug of Wet and Forget, poured it straight into the sprayer as is, treated the whole area in about 30 minutes, then did absolutely nothing. We've had one good rain since the application and just look at this front porch. Wet and Forget is amazing, I highly recommend.

UNBELIEVABLY AWESOME ! Miracle cleaner
I used WET & FORGET 3 years ago on my shed that has wood clapboards and white metal doors and this shed is under trees in a very wet area of the yard. I sprayed it on and after 20 min. I thought “shucks, this doesn’t work !” BUT after a couple of hours VOILÀ, all of the mold, mildew and algae was GONE. The best part was that it hasn’t returned after 3 years ! This doesn’t have bleach in it but it must contain ‘fairy dust’ because it is pure magic. I just bought 2 more containers, even though you mix 1 part WET & FORGET with 5 parts water. I have a 330 year old Tavern on Cape Cod (where we get lots of salty spray and rain) and I am going to spray every inch. The directions say to reapply after 2-3 months. I didn’t do this for the shed but I’ll follow the directions now !! I watched a YouTube video that compares lots of products on a wooden fence BUT the results were compared after 30 min. not a couple of hours. The product that this ‘professional’ recommended was a bleach based liquid that worked well, but with mold spores in every climate I’m sure that the fence needed a redo after awhile where if he used Wet & Forget it would be “Use & Be Happy” ! Thank you to the makers of this product…. I am just a 72 yr old retired nurse and NOT PAID for this review. I just love passing on the news of good products.
