Great. No need to blind bake. Holes ensure pastry goes nice and crisp. Did a meat flan in it topped with potato. Can't say how a quiche might go if thats your thing

I like this little flan dish. It's removable base makes for easy flan transfer to plate or container. The non stick coating seems likely to be long lasting. I've baked both savoury and sweet tarts and flans several times and none of them has stuck except for when there was too much filling in a mixed fruit pie. But they wash up well, even when sugary, fruit stuff sticks to the inner or outer edges. No complaints here; my favourite small flan/tart tin should last ages and that's flantastic!

I had to return it, although I did check the size, it seemed really small so ordered a bigger one.

Just made 2 mince tarts in the small holey tin…. One wheat, one gluten-free. The edges of the tarts did not fall in, and owing to the holes, the sides and bottoms are perfectly crunchy. When baked, I stood the tin on top of a jam jar and the external ring just fell down, leaving mince tart perched on top, as the photo shows.No more blind-baking with those beans that sink into the pastry and then have to washed, dried and stored. This holey tin is a Wholly Brilliant Invention. (Possibly inspired by a holy soul.)Am now going to order the bigger one for regular-sized flans and quiches. (The small tarts in the photo were made with silicon molds. It is also much easier to remove the pies from this mold than from my old metal trays- just saying…)

I really like this quiche tin. I was amazed at how easily the quiche came out! I'm seriously considering getting another, slightly larger, one. Very easy to clean.
