Will catch all sorts of critters and rats. Quite effective. But be warn, it's extremely sticky. Put in a spot you won't accidentally step on. Keep away from small children and pets.

This product actually works as it is supposed to!!! It will trap and hold just as it says it will. I would give it at least 10 stars!!!

I bought these multiple times to catch rodents in my garage and prevent them from nesting in my cars. I deploy 2-3 traps at a time, and put a single shelled peanut in the middle and I usually catch a mix of 5-6 mice and rats as summer turns to fall as I think they seek indoor nests as fall begins. It also catches roaches and spiders. Very affective. Consider putting them someplace with overhead cover, like under raised shelving, as dust can settle on the surface of the adhesive and make it less effective. Also, you may want to tape a piece of string to the underside of the trap to help retrieve it, since a rat can thrash around and move the trap several feet.

It's easy to set up but I haven't caught anything, so its only good if they go in!

My father was pretty sure he had a rat in his 8'x8' walk-in closet. The evidence was regular droppings found on the floor and that it started eating through one corner of the carpet, including the padding and wood under it. At first, he thought it was a mouse, but it had easily set off and escaped from about 6 of them over the course of a few days. I decided to get him these glue traps as another option based on the high rating combined with thousands of reviews. He received the traps around 11 AM today, set up 4 of them in the closet, locked the closet door, and waited. When he checked the closet at 9:30 PM, the rat was struggling to get out of the trap, but it was futile. I won't go into the details of how he killed the rat (but you should realize that this trap doesn't do that for you), but he did get some measure of revenge for the damage caused by this creature. These traps are easy to set up and use, plus they are safe to have inside the home. However, you have to keep in mind that there is a very strong adhesive on these traps, so just about anything coming in contact with them will get stuck. My father learned this the hard way, when a hand towel happened to fall on one of the traps. He was eventually able to remove it, but a good amount of the towel stayed stuck to the trap. The 6-pack of traps we got cost $16. For how easy it was to set up, plus how well and how quickly it worked, I'd say it's a great value. Please note, however, that once a rat (or towel, for that matter) gets caught in one of these traps, I can't see a way for that trap to be reused. At the relatively low cost of these traps, that's a tradeoff I'm willing to live with, though.

Trust the process, it works. This was the third day after I added a bait. The stickiness is strong, very ease to use if you follow instructions. Good value for the money as well. Make sure you put it in the right locations and give it some time.

It works! You just have to know where the mouse is going to go but it definitely works. I put these traps out as soon as I got them. Unfortunately, I saw the mouse run past it and go under my fridge. But, once I knew he was under there, I surrounded the base of the fridge with all the traps. About 20 minutes later he tried escaping and got stuck in one of the traps. I didn't want to see him suffer so I put him, and the trap, in a bag and hit him with something hard to put him out of his misery. That part was not fun but I'm so happy it's gone now!

I live in the mountains and moved into my house in July. I found there was an active mouse population in the garage so I bought the following after my original Victor mouse traps weren't doing the trick: I've now tried the Jawz mousetrap, Victor M140S, Victor M160S, Victor M143S, Catchmaster 402 baited glue trap, D-con corner fit bait station, and Neatmaster Ultrasonic Pest Repellent. The Neatmaster Ultrasonic thing was ordered first and didn't do a thing. I put a camera on the infested area with the Neatmaster activated 5 ft away and the mice would come out every night and lick the original Victor mouse traps clean. I then tried the D-Con bait stations and they made a couple of bait squares disappear but still appeared every night on the camera. I then ordered this item along with the 3 Victors mentioned above. Before they arrived I changed my bait method on the original Victors and jammed a sunflower seed into the bait clasp. I then caught my first mouse that night. When reinforcements arrived I placed them along the walls throughout my garage. Here are the results in the past 4 months: Glue Traps: a bunch of bugs Victor M160S: 3 traps out, 0 mice caught Victor M140S: 4 traps out, 3 mice caught Victor M143S: 3 traps out, 1 mouse caught Jawz: 4 traps out, 5 chipmonks and 9 mice caught Ultrasonic thing: seems to be ignored on medium setting (high setting is audible to people and is too much to handle) I also made one of those bucket of water with a bottle on top homemade traps and although they investigated it, it has not caught anything. I have 2 garage doors and have traps by the corners of each door where there's room to come in. I have the Jawz, a glue trap, the M143S, and 140S on each of the 4 entry points. I have the others placed along walls. Of the entry points, the Victor 143 and 140 each have one kill to their credit, the glue trap has zero, and the Jawz consistently traps mice and chipmonks. This past week it started getting cold and I've been catching a mouse every other day in the Jawz by the garage door. The trigger mechanism on the Jawz is similar to the Victor 143S. The Victor 140S seems to be a bit tough to trigger (they have to nudge their nose into the bait section to lift the bait cover in order to trigger it. The 143S and Jawz both are triggered by a very light touch of the platform surrounding the bait hole. This allows you to easily catch a mouse when he just puts a foot up there to smell what's down in the hole. I've yet to see one actually get away with a seed or lick of peanut butter from them. I did get one who only got his paw trapped in it and was still alive and very alert. I brought the trap with the mouse on it to another trap and placed his head on the trigger platform and that was that. EDIT - I bought these in August of 2017 and gave my initial 3 star review after a month and a half. It is now April of 2018. These initial glue traps have now caught 2 adult mice and a family of 4 baby mice. Based on this success compared to my other traps (jawz are still the king, electronic sonic thing still the worst), I'm going to bump this up a star.

These worked very well. Took care of my mouse problem at the cottage in just a few days.

These things work really well. We caught a mouse the first night we set the traps. We have probably caught about 10 mice in our house with these traps in the last month. The only thing is, the mice are usually still alive and you will likely find them when you hear their squeaking. You’ll need to put the whole trap (with the live mouse on it) in a bag and take care of it. If you can stomach that, then these are great. Also, be careful about placement if you have small children.

I found these are better for catching mice….much better then the snap traps which I believe the mice are smart to and avoid…these they can’t see until too late

these are the only traps that work for me in my rural country home, you can catch multiple mice if you remove the caught ones, and just put it back out, even used traps can collect many mice i've found
