Haier 8,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner

I see a lot of unfavorable reviews here, but I actually like this air conditioner. Didn't buy it here, it was on a good sale at Target online. I use it in my 350 SF studio, and it does a great job. It's been keeping us cool and comfy for three summers now. Don't be deterred by the negative reviews - this is a lovely, sturdy and perfectly acceptable machine.

this "8,000" btu "air conditioner" is nothing but an ugly nightstand with a remote controlled fan. i bought what can only be described as a real time air conditioning simulator to cool my bedroom....my small,well insulated bedroom. I live in southern California near L.A. so needless to say,this "ac" unit isn't exactly being pushed to the bitter edge of its cooling abilities. for instance,I've had this waste of electricity running since 6 this morning;it's now 7:30 pm and its literally one degree cooler than it is outside,everything on this machine is as it should be,hose connected securely,water tank empty,filter clean,fan high,thermostat low. and yet it mocks me! depressing thoughts have more cooling power than this box of garbage! staring at pictures of this ac unit will give you more cooling satisfaction than actually buying it. if I could bring my grandma back to life,I would sic her shambling zombie corpse on the monsters responsible for marketing and selling this hateful box of lies.i would rather have a brain tumor than this ac unit,if i ever gave a child up for adoption i would regret it less than buying this piece of crap. the sheer effrontery of calling this an air conditioner would make mother Theresa vomit with rage.the remote works very well though

I followed all instructions , vented it , open water discharg and it just dosn't cool the room. We were really disapointedwith the product.

I have 2 of these, 1 in my master bedroom and the other in my kiddo’s smaller bedroom and they have been great going on 2 years now. This last year I ran mine continuously on the fan mode because I like the air movement and white noise. It’s a great unit for smaller rooms, I wouldn’t expect it to cool my living room area though it’s not big enough for that. I also wouldn’t expect it to cool a “sunroom” anywhere south of the North Pole 🙄

I would rate this item with no stars if I could! I purchased this itemorning at target because it was on sale! Plus had a great name brand! This is the worst portable ac. I have ever purchased it doesn't cool at all! My room temp got down to 74 even though out side was 70 degrees. Please go to Walmart and pay 232.00 for a gree brand works amazing.

I did not buy this from amazon but I bought it at a store! IT IS JUNK!! Barely cools a room and doesn't work already!! It flooded my kitchen by letting the water run all over like it was in dehumidifying mode when it is in air conditioning mode! It is loud too! AVOID this PRODUCT!

I bought this unit for a 14x12 room. Its performance has been a disappointment. I do not recommend that anyone spend money on this product.
