A: Professional stylists of 40 yrs. Semi permanent only stains your hair. It's a very low peroxide alternative to permanent color. If you like to change your shades often or giving your hair a break it's very good. Less maintenance non damaging..

**Q: If this is clear does it deposit any color?**
A: Clear is only for shine and gloss. No color deposits.. also semi permanent colors can only deposit not lighten

**Q: Can this be used alone for shine?**
A: Yes! I used it simply to enhance my highlights. I have naturally red hair. I used it a couple of weeks before my wedding and then just before. Worked for exactly what I wanted, shine and highlight.

**Q: what is the clear one for? like what do you use it for? does it impart shine or something?**
A: Yes, it adds a multi-faceted shine like their pigmented dyes. It can also be used to dilute other colors that are darker than desired by mixing them prior to application.
