Daemon is a pet which can shift into any animal form but is bound to live and die with his human.

Takes you to another world. Thought provoking... Extreme level of fiction... amazing read.. Can't stop reading till last page. Great..

Only on book two, but its a fun read with a good mystery to get hooked on. Sometimes I do feel like the author denies you too much information. Nevertheless, it is well told and enjoyable. A worthy purchase.

Absolutely lovely book. The book cover and printing is good. Font is little small , but page quality is good. Gives feeling of a classic with its hardcover and book cover designs. Absolutely collection worthy.

reading this book is a fantastic journey, the concept is quite different and exhilarating. i wont say much but if you are a fiction lover and looking for an adventure through a eyes of a child (but its for all ages as the story is quite complex), then go for it.

well as we all know that , his dark materials is popular , classic and widely read book series. it is also part of amazon's 100 great book to read. the main thing is quality of book. first i want to tell you that ,this edition is published by everyman library . when it comes to publication , they are great(if not best). superb type setting , acid free pages , smooth printing , they converts a book into a art piece . and yes all books are made in Germany. so for 500-600 rs. this edition is more than worthy.

Wow! This book arrived in such a perfect condition, there was a little minute dent in the side, which is hardly visible. The paper quality is amazinnnnn! The dust jacket is too pretty. Totally worth the prize! In fact it's a great deal. Go for it!!

A wonderful tale, narrated with immense passion and vivacity as well as vividness. It is gripping till the last word in the trilogy. Could not put it down. Also, the style of writing is very classy. I just wish i had got to know how the lives of Lyra and Will and Mary Malone turned out to be like after this story...

Very nice boxed set of the Dark Materials trilogy. Bought for teenager and did not disappoint and he’s currently reading the second book (had to read the golden compass for school assignment) after enjoying the first story. Recommended

A brief review of the Everyman edition of the first three books in the His Dark Materials books by Philip Pullman. This is not a review of the actual three books/novels, starting with with Northern Lights, all of which are worthy and deserving of five stars each. Subsequent to this release by Everyman, Pullman has, as of March 2022, published two further full length novels in this series - a prequel (in which Lyra is just a small child) and a long awaited sequel in which Lyra is now a young woman and a scholar studying at Jordan College, where Northern Lights begins.For readers wishing for a delightful and portable hardback edition of the first three novels in the series, this is the edition to buy. The original hardback anthology is terribly expernsive and difficult to find. Unusually, Everyman have not put a picture of Pullman on the front cover of the book but chosen a theme from the books which is both charming and appropriate. The only other hardback edition of the three books has been the three volumes which were issued by the Folio Society which which were rather mediocre in their illustrations (in the humble opinion of the reviewer here) and were the slightly censored American editions which removed some of the mildly racy passages which talked about the heroine, Lyra's ripening and blossoming sexuality.In short a lovely edition, reasonably priced, and fantasy writing of the very best kind. If you haven't read these books, forget about Harry Potter, and treat yourself to this lovely edition. I bought this as a gift for a friend who wanted a portable yet attractive, ideally hardback edition of novels I had long recomm need he read. I don't think he was disappointed by the content and was very grateful to have this lovely edition. As always, a classic, beautiful and stylish edition of three important modern novels presented by Everyman.

Es un estuche con los tres libros por separado y en tamaño de bolsillo. La edición es muy bonita y podré disfrutarlos con tranquilidad. La letra se lee sin ningún problema. La saga la estoy empezando tras ver las dos primeras temporadas de la serie, pero ya desde el inicio se puede ver una gran calidad de escritura.

Papel de boa qualidade, livro de material mole, o que faz com que ele não estrague nem solte páginas durante a leitura. Vale muito a pena! Quem dera todos os paperback fossem desse material...
