InstantPot Duo Nova 7-in-1 Smart Cooker, 5.7L - Slow Cooker, Rice Cooker, Sauté Pan, Yoghurt Maker, Steamer and Food Warmer, Stainless steel

With electricity costs going through the roof I was concerned that our family favourite winter stews wouldn’t be possible as I didn’t fancy running the oven for a few hours, my mum suggested a pressure cooker to get similar results in greatly reduced time. I looked at traditional hob top pots and then saw this IP Duo nova on offer for a comparable sum so went for it. In a nutshell it is brilliant, stews, casseroles, soups, mashed potato! No problem. You can sauté meats/veg and then throw in stock and whatever extras and boom it’s done in minutes. I love the delay function, I prep the evening meal at lunchtime, set the delay time so it cooks it ready for later on in the evening, brilliant. Chicken & bean stew done in 15 mins, beef stew 25mim (note it does take a few mins to get up to pressure and also to release in addition but still unbelievable quick). Their is an IP app with lots of recipes, but I’ve used these mainly to get the cooking times for my own recipes. One slight difference is that you thicken sauces after cooking, but that’s no hassle.Simple to use, super quick, food tastes just as good, one pot to clean. Brilliant.

I bought this mainly to replace my slow cooker but of course it does so much more. I honestly don't use it to its full capability but when I do use it, its always a pleasure. Probably too clever for me lol and under pressure, by the time is pressurised/depressurised I sometimes wonder what the point it but food does come out very tasty and its much quicker for certain things. I bought the biggest size (?7L) which is way too big for my family of 2 so that's the only advice I would make to anyone buying this.Overall though, this is so versatile (and unlike my old slowcooker I can sautee stuff in it before cooking) that anyone would benefit from having one.

I bought this after watching TONS of youtube videos about how great these cookers are. I am used to cooking stews etc on the Hob, which can easily take 2.5-3 hours of cooking time. I liked the idea of being able to cook in one pot, save on washing up etc. I have only owned this for a fortnight, but am actually enjoying using it. The picture I shared is of a simple beef stew that took literally 30 mins to cook. The stew thickened even more the longer it was left, though I did enjoy some as soon as it was ready.The device is very simple to use, I didn't bother with the instructions as there are so many videos/ channels out there with 1000s of ideas/recipes. Start simple and get good results. I haven't tried all features at the time of writing, but am delighted with the results of the meals i've made so far. The food is perfectly cooked and the time saved means I can cook a large meal in quick time, literally dumping things in . switching on and getting on with my day. The "keep warm" feature means you can go out and return home to a nice hot meal, rather than having to cook in an evening. The cooking pot and lid are both dishwasher friendly, though i simple rinse the lid and rubber seal after use. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to cut down on dishes, save a lot of cooking time, and and make 4 (greedy) or 6 regular portions of food. Please take my advice and check youtube for some great and simple recipes. I have suddenly found myself buying more vegetables and ingredients, rather than ready meals to microwave.One tip: the Cooker comes with a rubber seal ( a clear one ALREADY fitted). I was confused how to fit the red one which comes in the box. This is infact a SPARE so can be safely placed in a drawer for future use. It seems this red rubber seal puzzled many people, as the instructions did not mention one was already fitted!

As stated this worked pretty ok at the beginning. But it started leaking from the lid and steam vent every time. I have had these pressure cookers for a while and know to use them. The worst issue I had, was when the unit started to shoot out steam in the middle of pressure cooking a meal, luckily no one was near to it, as liquid was released too. I contacted instant brands and never received a reply. Luckily, I was able to send it back as it was most definitely faulty. I was not put off and bought a different model, which releases steam slowly. Take what you will from my experience.

My brother recommended the "Instant" brand. I'd never heard of it and have been so impressed I've gone on to buy an "Instant" Air Fryer too. User friendly appliance; and as I chug towards 70 I sure need all the help I can get. Traditional pressure cookers have always made me wary but this couldn't be easier.

I love this instant pot!!! I use it for many recipes which I get from YouTube. It makes great fluffy coconut rice and creamy mash potatoes . It is so easy to use!!! I am a basic cook but this makes everything I like to eat and it is super quick as well. Wish I had one years ago.

Je recommande.Il permet de gagner un temps fou, et de se déchargée de tâches comme la cuisson du riz, des pâtes des légumes, etcPerso je met mon riz au fond, des légumes dans le panier vapeur (vendu à part) au dessus, je laisse cuire. À côté je fais du poulet à la poêle et j'ai un repas complet prêt en 12min en un minimum d'effort.
