Very good with some mods
I purchased this for use on a rental car with inadequate cargo capacity. I installed a rooftop cargo carrier also. This was the second set of bars I purchased. The first pair(different type and manufacturer) arrived incomplete. Requested a replacement, it also arrived incomplete but missing different parts. I had enough to make one complete set. I put it on the vehicle, it was way too tall and silly in appearance.I ordered this set, it arrived on time, and complete. Very simple to put together, but I'm not using it as advertised. I didn't want to run the straps through the inside of the vehicle. I used a set of four clips that mount into the door frame under the weather stripping. They came with a rooftop cargo bag I purchased previously.I then ran a set of regular home depot ratchet straps from the clips, through the cargo basket, and attached to the clips on the other side, then snugged the straps until the feet of the crossbars kinda pushed the metal roof inward. The roof is bent in but it'll straighten out once the pressure is released. It's holding up just fine at highway speeds, I've had luggage in the cargo basket with no issues. The only issue I've had is water leakage, and that was only under multiple days of heavy downpour. But it was a significant amount of leakage, and the interior didn't smell great for a few days after. I know for the next rain day to just remove it, because it's just that easy to do.But I'm extremely pleased with the end result, this will be the method used on any vehicle without roof bars from now on.If anything should happen to these, I will gladly purchase another set so I can keep my cargo options open.

Well-made product that is easy to install, won't scratch roof.
My application is a 2005 Lincoln LS sedan. The crossbars arrived sooner than they were due by a day or two. There are two bars requiring minor assembly. To the bar you attach a foot, which has a rubber foot. To the foot, you attach a clamp, which hooks onto your door opening, just above or behind the top piece of door trim. There are rubber covers for the bottoms of the clamps where they attach to the car.Unfortunately, even with the 3 included sets of clamps, none were short enough to work with my vehicle. The company contacted me immediately by email after my return request and went above and beyond what I expected. Good companies make good products and this is a good company. With cars, sometimes universal solutions work and sometimes they don't, so no worries.

Does not work for Ford Flex!
The product itself was fantastic! Shipping was fast, easy to put together and seemed sturdy enough. However even on the longest setting I still struggled to get it to fit the width of my car. I was barely able to wiggle it into place after 2 hours of fighting with it. When I got the kayak mounts connected to the car rack I placed my two 40lb kayaks in their mounts and it did bow quite a bit! This could very well be because the racks were not suitable for my car. They did their job though keeping my kayaks safely in place for the whole trip. The next day though, one of the racks flew off my car onto the highway startling the daylights out of me! Luckily no one was hurt and no damage to my car or surroundings. But I learned it was a hazard to try and keep these on so when I got home I removed the other rack. When I connected the company they were amazing! The responded quickly and were very friendly. They provided me with a full refund and apologized this happened to me. They didn’t even request that I send the equipment back. The company is wonderful. I would happily recommend their products to anyone even though they didn’t pan out for me.

You get what you paid for
Pros:*is sturdy enough to handle most things (kayaks, totes, paddle boards)*Is able to be put on in minutes (after assembly)Cons:*Straps did not fit as advertised, hand to add new straps*Instructions were unclear which lead to a lot of trial and error*Unsure if it could handle highway drivingTLDR: Good for moving things around town, would trust it for long distances.

Be sure you have additional liability coverage
I fiddled with this thing time and time again, one time at the kayak store with the owner and one of his employees who load kayaks every day of their lives. They were very concerned with it. Could never get a good snug fit but finally got an adequate fit. Transported the kayak five times, but each time I had to fiddle around with the darn thing to get it to an acceptable state. I lost about a half hour to 45 minutes of boat time each trip messing with this Rube Goldberg contraption. On top of that the cheap little caps and small parts break easily and fall off. Big PITA. I reached my limit when I went to reload the kayak to return home this weekend and found that one of the knobs that holds the rail down just spun as I turned it because the cheap socket inside of the knob was stripped. Had that knob come off I would have had an airborne kayak. I cobbled everything together and strapped the kayak down further with additional cam straps. Nervously drove home very slowly avoiding the freeway having nightmare thoughts of that knob coming loose and my kayak sliding off into somebody's windshield. The thing is now in the trash where it belongs. I have never been more ticked by an Amazon product than I am with this junk. It"s a lawsuit waiting to happen. I ended up with a Yakima easytop. Far Superior solution.

Meh
First of all, it does not fit a 2001 honda crv as the website indicates. Obviously some people were successful, but be weary. Overall the quality is fairly disappointing. Granted this isn't a $500 name brand rack, but for $75, you get two cheap looking aluminum bars, black painted steel brackets and a lot of cheap plastic. In the end, after making what another reviewer phrased as "9 million adjustments", it didnt work for my car. Plus it scratched the paint around the top of the door frame. Hopefully their customer service is better, I have requested a return.Update:Despite any issues I had with the roof rack, the seller have me a full refund and I didn't even have to return the item! That's some amazing service. So, give it a try, you have nothing to lose.

Terrible building experience
No instructions how to build these, has to look at product photos here and figure it out. But still issues...rails slightly too big for brackets but pounding with a rubber mallet worked after several attempts to line up screw holes...plastic caps on rail ends were extremely hard to put on, one broke, again rubber mallet...rubber rail protector too long and has to cut. Be prepared to be frustrated. After it's all together the rails are sturdy and straps worked well, therefore the 3 star rating.

Good on dry days but not on a heavy down pour
These strap threw the doors so they let water in 10/10 on dry summer trip , 2/10 for the moisture exposure to the interior
