Can these sustain high temperatures? i have a very bright led and i tried covering it with scotch tape covered in permanent marker and it melted it.

If your scotch tape fix actually melted then I'd guess these LightDims may not hold up to that type of heat either. I will say that these LightDims are worth getting/trying regardless. For your high heat application, perhaps finding something safe to place/slide in front of the led like a black metal bookend perhaps? There's always electrical tape (messy). I have perviously used black card stock that I folded and positioned in such a way that they held their spot (still have a couple like that). Maybe the combination of the bookend and card stock might do the trick... just be extra mindful of what is safe to put on or near a high temperature electronic. Good luck.

Are these adhesive in any way or just static cling like window decals?
