Simply Rich: Life and Lessons from the Cofounder of Amway: A Memoir

I loved reading this book. It truly shows nice people like Rich Devos impact the community in so many ways. He has done so much philanthropic work over his lifetime to completely reshape the look and feel of grand rapids and ada michigan area in so many positive ways/ i have met Rich a few times and he is an incredible man. he puts his shoes and socks on like any other person in the world.He is a very humble , generous , deeply devout Christian who practices what he preaches. He is an incredible asset to all of us in the Grand Rapids area and all over the globe. He and Away donate millions of their personal wealth to truly make the world a better place.I have worked for Amway for 15 years now and it has been a honor to work for such a fine company who treats their employees like they would treat their own family. Thanks Rich for letting Amway being such a POSITIVE influence on so many lives all over the world. It is a blessing to have a job that i don't dread going to ever ! RICH IS STILL REACHING OUT AND TOUCHING THE WORLD IS SO MANY GREAT WAYS EVEN AT THE AGE OF 88. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK !

It is so inspiring book over all. From the start to an end its all about the author's biography, mindset and legacy. It is amazing to learn from great leader, faith builder and vision creator. Every single chapter was filled with laughter, excitement and tears.

I loved reading this book, and I am sure to go through it again. I had just become an Independent Business Owner 'with' Amway a couple of months back, and I wanted to learn more about the founding of the business, the principles it was built on, and where it sees itself in the future. This book is the perfect memoir on the founders of Amway and how it came to unfold through history. There was much ingenuity that came with building a business like this and many criticisms it had to overcome (and it did) throughout its history.

This was such a great book. Enjoyed the history and learning about the "why" behind Rich DeVos. A Christian who loved people and wanted to provide people with an opportunity to have choices, purpose, and dreams. This book made me proud to be an Amway Business owner.

I have realized that you do not need multiple sources to verify truth. Over time the truth remains constant. Such a nice read to get from the horse about the story from the man himself.

This book must be a transcription of Rich DeVos talking. It feels like we are sitting together and he is telling the stories of his life, his beliefs, and the building of the amazing business he built with his best friend. I am one of the lucky ones who heard Mr. DeVos speak, and I could hear him again in this book. I highly recommend it for many reasons. If you want to hear how a successful man thinks, this is a great choice for you. He does not tell us we must do it as he did, he simply tells about himself.

Enjoyed this bio very much. I normally try to squeeze in 15 mins a day in a good book. Some books have left me looking at the clock wishing the time was up. But this book constantly makes me go over my time. I have a hard time setting it down. Almost done and I wish there was another 300 pages!

Absolutely inspiration. Rich DeVos led an incredible life and learned many lessons along the way which he shares in these pages. He lived a values based lifestyle and there’s so much to learn from how he became successful and focused on serving other people, God, and country.

The book is written in a biographic style. However, the reader is getting to know about the basic standards how the amway systems runs since the day one when it was established. The author explains why exactly this particular plan or approach was taken and became more successful from different aspects such as timing, finance, labour, equipment, etc. the author has managed to transform you into his life as if you are Rich De Vos or Jay Van Del! What a powerful style of writing! Would recommend to anyone who is considering to start a business a business of his own and how not to loose the motivation, passion and power to do what you want. If they could do it, you also could do it!
