Chrome plating not holding up
I purchased this item in 2021 to replace a 20+ year old drain strainer that eventually broke. Within a few months, a green patina began appearing around the edges on my bathtub. I assume this is from copper in the metal (brass?) which has been incompletely chrome-plated. Gerber has a certain reputation and would do well to check with the supplier on the quality control of the plating.
