Flat out sexy fun!I was a little late to the Fast Track party, but I sure am glad I made it. Book one of the series, Flat Out Sexy, had everything in it I crave. Well developed characters with undeniable heat and attraction for each other, great friends and family to help us know them better, and a whole lot of humor to keep a smile on my face for the ride.Seriously, friends, I laughed out loud enough to turn heads. I cried with the kids as they remembered their dad's death. And I blushed and tilted the kindle for ensured privacy when the smexy action got going.Tamara Briggs lost her husband and the father of her two children when he crashed at Talladega two years ago. Her first foray into dating hasn't gone too well. He may be the logical, safe choice, but her libido just isn't playing along.And then she runs into Elec Monroe. A relationship with a driver is the last thing she needs. She has a list a mile long on why she should stay far away from Elec Monroe, but her hormones beg to differ. The two of them ignite the page with a mere touch. If you like the sexy deets, this one provides. There is nothing exceptionally kinky in this story, but they sure show plain old vanilla sex can be hot. Very hot.The best part of this story comes from the supporting characters. The kids add to the romance and charm. The exes and wishful exes add humor and audaciousness. The family adds the history. And the friends all add the slapstick humor that got me in trouble for laughing out loud more than once. Seriously, you just have to love a woman who puts an apple pie in her ex-husband's face for being clueless. Suzanne and Ryan Jefferson star in book three and I just can't wait to get to it.This really is one of those mass appeal books; fast cars, funny friends, tearful moments, family ties and enough heat to burn Chicago down again. This is the first book by Erin McCarthy that I couldn't put down. What a sweet love story. An older woman with two children who is widowed and along comes this wonderful younger man who treats her like a queen and loves her kids as much as any father could. Very rare indeed.I cannot wait to read the next book in the series "Hard and Fast" with Imogen and Ty (two characters in this book).This book is worth purchasing if you are a romance junkie who loves a sweet romantic story.

From the opening chapter to the final word, this story was engaging. The one liners are hilarious. "Well butter my butt and call me a biscuit." Just too funny. I also liked that the story showed some of the negatives to the racing as well as the positives. I thought the kids were great and realistic. The friendship between characters had a way of moving the storyline along as well as revisiting the past without being annoying.

WHOA what a hot book! Erin McCarthy has done it again. I read this book pretty much cover to cover without putting it down. The Main characters are so sweet and likable. Tamara is a widow to a race car driver who is 32 with two children that are 5 and 7. She goes to a party where all the drivers and board members are and bumps into (literally) a sexy man named Elec (hello sexy name) and from that moment on, she was hooked. But being a single mom with a career its hard to find time to be a woman with a social life especially when the one person she wants to make time for has an even crappier schedule and is always traveling to different tracks. She fights with herself about what to do. All I can say is this is a must read sexy novel with a great story and awesome characters. McCarthy seems to never fail and I will continue on to the next in the series and so on!!

4.5 out of 5 stars!! Elec --- really MAKES this novel! He is sweet, kind, HOT, thoughtful, and I wish I could have my own Elec! *hehee* Otherwise .... This novel had a great mix of life on the road, dealing with relationships, and trying to be with someone who you feel great with -- while dealing with the reality of everything around you. Tamara is a great main character ... she knows what she think she wants but even though she doesn't always agree with Elec she at least believes in him .... so the drama that is in this novel really flows and progresses instead of being drawn out -- which is one of the best things about this novel. Plus ... the secondary characters were great too! This novel was fun, HOT, and refreshing!! I recommend it for any female!! =0)Reviewed By: From Me to You ... I normally do not read race car driver meets girl, falls in love, etc. But, I am sure glad I read this series. I loved the easy reading style and plan on watching out for her books in the future. I was glad to see the story between Elec and Tamara was hot, full of sex and love and ended in a good way.

This book caught me off guard, I was expecting it to be a quick and light read. I was surprised to find it had more depth and heart than anticipated. The main characters had a lot of spark and heat, so much heat. So glad I took the time to check this one out, give it a shot you won't be disappointed.

I've read quite a few Erin McCarthy novels and Flat-Out Sexy is one I always come back too, as the story line never fails to capture both my imagination and my attention. As Tamara a race car widow with two adorable kids Petey whose 9 and more interested in bugs than cars and Hunter, whose 7 and a race car fanatic are bowled over by rookie driver Elec. But Tamara has sworn of drivers after the tragic death of her husband Pete and no matter how hot, and sexy Elec makes her feel she's determined to stay far away. Yet, Elec and her friends are determined not to take no for an answer and Elec's wooing of Tamara and her children is so much fun and sweet to read.Plus, this story has some major chemistry going on. Not to mention hot scenes whenever Elec lures Tamara into bed which to be fair happens quite a lot! And really, it's just a great contemporary romance that I genuinely love rereading. So if you're yet to read anything by Ms McCarthy please consider Flat-Out Sexy, as you won't be disappointed.

Tamara was widowed two years ago when her husband a race car driver was killed in a crash during a race. She is now dipping her toe in the dating game, a work college who is her first date is a complete disaster, then she meets Elec another race driver although Tamara does not realise that at first. Elec takes her breath away after an explosive first night together, but he is six years younger than her 31years, plus there is her lack of confidence about her body after having two children, but none of this deters Elec he is determined to have Tamara. I thoroughly enjoyed this book Tamara lack of confidence in herself was very realistic as well as her concern for her children and the parents of her late husband, all in all a emotional and enjoyable read, plus Elec and Tamara were so hot together. My only complaint about this whole series they are not available on kindle.

I have read most of Erin McCarthy books and this one is the one I will always go back too, the story line is about Tamara who is a widow with two kids , her husband was a very famous racing car driver which died couple of years before in racing car accident and since then she swore she will never go out with a racing car driver.The thing is that most of her friends coming from that worldAlec is a racing car rookie and him and the rest of his family they are all in that biasnessSo they meet in a party and Tamara doesn't know who is Alec and from there all the sparks and flames starting to happenThe two of them made me laugh and cry but most off all made me fall in love with them and cheer for them until the finish lineIf you haven't read any of Erin McCarthy books this is a great one to start with, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!!!

OW and YM, only 7 yrs but I enjoy this theme and how they work it out. Front cover is sexy and better than the other two book covers. This story seemed realistic and I enjoyed bringing their other friends and family into the story, again more realistic and worked well for this story. Enjoyable read. v
