The Gospel of the Eels: A Father, a Son and the World's Most Enigmatic Fish

I gained knowledge and understanding. Recommended to a friend who reacted in same way. Gentle story, simply told. Important and on a higher level than many other stories of father-son relationship. I will certainly read it again.

A fantastic book....highly recommended for anyone with interest in biology. It has so much information packed in just over 200 pages. Also has an emotional side where the author writes about his family.

I think any writer who can brilliantly wrap personal philosophy and memoir around natural history is a gift to readers. There are several very fine books out there about eels which do this and this stands shoulder to shoulder with the others.

An excellent book written by someone who has great knowledge and love for his chosen topic. Highly recommended
