Best thing since sliced bread. No fuss whatsoever when separating eggs. Worked out great!

Finally an egg separator that actually works well. I love to cook custard and I am picky about separating and this one does it just right. Great investment and easy to use It separates so fast that I can whip through six eggs in a matter of minutes. Highly recommend!

I had a need to separate 3 eggs at a time 6 times per week. I fumbled with the messy plastic-slot things that eventually broke, and I could not find replacements. Slotted spoons were only half-effective. It might seem a trivial thing, but it was really bugging me, man. This job ought to be simple, by now. I bought three of these separators. They are of a superb and simple design. They are balanced well enough to rest very steady and stable on a collection cup. The stainless steel rods are cupped and spaced just right to allow gravity to drop the egg whites into the cup. If that first gentle drop is not enough, give a slight swirl and the spiral design just unscrews the egg white into the cup. Then after use, I can drop the tool in the dishwasher, anywhere I like. Now I always have one clean and ready for use. And the simple task of separating eggs is fast and clean and hassle-free. I just stack the separators in the kitchen drawer, but they could hang on a hook as well. It was such an improvement beyond what I've had for years that I thought I should come back and leave some positive comments, after using them for some months. Hope these will help you too.

I got this to help me separate eggs for Keto recipes for my husband (I'm allergic to eggs). It worked fairly well, but when I used it to separate 4 large eggs in a row, 2 of the yolks just slipped through the spiral. I really didn't think they were small enough to get through but 2 out of 4 proved me wrong. It's still a nice utensil but I will use it more cautiously. I really didn't like having to fish out the yolks with my hand - too slimey for me!

I really like this item for the little time I had it, it was a big help at work. I think another cook at work stole it off me or threw it away on me when I was not at work. I work for a restaurant group that cooks 50% breakfast and 50% dinner items. Our dine-in service open back up in 2021 after the pandemic. it seem like some of our regulars developed a taste for egg white omelets once we reopened. Trying to separate the egg yoke from the egg by hand is not fun. Since these guest where regulars they only expect the best from out team. The restaurant group would not spring for a tool so I got this one my self. I should took it home with me every night as it eventually diapered. For the time I had it I was able to make some of the best egg white omelettes. I would crack open a egg on it hold it and then the white liquid would fall in my mixing bowl with no yoke at all. After a few eggs I would whip the whites, put it on the girl, and woah-la, I have some of the whitest egg white omelets around. Thanks for such a great tool! If I ever find my self cooking eggs again I will get one of these without hesitation.

This is a very functional kitchen accessory. It works great. One thing to keep in mind when using it though, use a bowl that is high enough such that the egg white will separately properly from the yolk. If there is just a short distance between the egg and the collection bowl once you place the egg into the separator, it will just kind of sit there until you raise the separator and/or assist separating it with a fork or the like. Anyway, it works great if you follow that approach. Have not had any yolks slip through the wires. A good value for the money.

Why have I had this utensil??? Such a time saver for my Tiramisu

Wasn’t looking for it but glad I found it. I’m not a one handed crack an egg cook and always made a mess separating whites and yolks. This cute device made my life easier and my counters cleaner. Just set it over the top of a container, crack an egg into it and the white drops through while saving the yolk in the spiral “basket”. It’s small so it doesn’t take up much drawer space, sturdy and works as described.

Wire is thicker than I expected but still ok. Still recommend.

This egg separator doesn't work. The egg whites will not go through the gaps in the coil but just hang there.
