1500 Grain Pocket Scale – Digital Reloading – 0.1 Grain – Ready to Use - Green

Works good to measure both powder and cast bullets. I'm a little unsure if it really is accurate to a tenth of a grain. When I am trickling in powder, it often seems to skip up by 0.2 grains. It would probably be nice if it was a bit more accurate and showed hundredths of a grain. But then that might be a whole new level and price point. After casting a batch of bullets, I will weigh them all and sort them out by weight. Then, remelt the outliers.

This pocket scale is very easy to use very easy to take around with you. I use it to weigh my pellets when getting ready to shoot competition to make sure they’re all the same weight. This device does exactly what I need. It was easy to see make sure you read all the instructions. It comes with a weight in it and it will calibrate itself. This is very delicate instrument so treated as such. Also, it may be a good idea to get some scotch tape out so that you can secure the battery door that comes off so easily. A nice piece of armamentarium for my tool collection.

Very accurate Not for large batches but definitely does a good job and the size makes it really convenient best value for the price

This little scale works fine for general reloading and checking bullet or case weights. It’s compact, easy to use, and a nice option to toss in the range bag or keep as a backup on the bench. Runs on AAA batteries, which is convenient. That said, it only reads in 0.1-grain increments, so if you’re doing precision loads or chasing ultra-tight charge consistency, it may not give you the accuracy you want. It can also be a bit sensitive to vibration and needs to be zeroed occasionally. Overall, good for basic reloading tasks ✅ but not ideal for precision shooters looking for lab-grade accuracy ❌.

I am on my second scale. Both are doing the same thing. Once calibrated, it will lose its calibration anywhere from 2, to three grains. You have to keep a very close eye on your zero, because it does shift, when you are trying to load extremely precise rifle loads, this is unacceptable. Two to three grains make a gigantic difference in your consistency. The scale also only weighs to one grain. Most mechanical scales will break one grain into 10 parts, for accuracy tuning. I am very disappointed in this scale. The rcbs name sold it for me. I have been using their products for well over 40 years, with quality being the Hallmark of products. This is the exception. I'm so disappointed in you Rcbs, you can do better than this.

Much easier to use than the balance scale. Instructions are printed inside the lid so they cannot be lost, which I find as a nice refresher as I usually have a couple of months between reloading sessions.
