Gorgeous Palette!
I'm not what you would call "huge" into makeup, nor do I wear it on a daily basis, but I do enjoy a nice smoky eye from time to time. I tend to stick with brand names that you find at specialty cosmetic stores and was very excited to give this palette a try. For starters, it has all of the colors I tend to stick with. The warm browns and shimmery colors, along with the classic black, deep purple, and chocolate brown are rich, vibrant, and absolutely stunning on any skin tone. For starters, this palette seems to be pretty highly pigmented and has excellent coverage. I tend to always use an eyeshadow primer, and this did a great job of needing minimal product. It blends together really easily, and the "chunky" gold color is gorgeous to blend with. My makeup stayed on all day, didn't smear, and was easy to remove. I actually got several compliments while wearing it!Overall, this is a fantastic palette, super user friendly, and overall has an excellent value. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it in the future! Very happy with its quality!!

Higher priced even for an Indie Brand. Good color and pigment, though. Mica heavy.
I really liked this shadow pallet, although I feel that $40 is a bit of a high price even for an Indie Brand. It's priced higher than some luxury brands and although I enjoyed it, it just isn't up there with Jeffree Star, Charlotte Tilbury, or even Morphe. It swatched nicely without any primer on my arm, and it stuck to my lids nicely, too. The lighter colors are as pigmented as the darkest, although I did notice the two shimery colors were heavy on the mica and had some areas that weren't blended. The nude and gold shimmer had chunks of silver mica mixed in that didn't blend out well. The shimmer colors also don't go on super well with a brush, even wet. I used my finger to apply, but it worked out and I'm okay with working with the pallet to get good color coverage.I did like the eye look with this and it's got colors for a classic day nude, or a bold night shimmer nude look. The unit carton is nice, and it has a mirror inside with the plastic protector. Definitely well made and designed nicely with bright pigments, but it's priced higher than I would expect for the fallout and staining it causes. I had trouble getting it off with cream cleanser and makeup remover. The darker shades stained a bit. I'd try this again, but the price is a little higher end than the product.I do appreciate the thorough ingredient list of all nine shades, as well as the cruelty and paraben free label. I am also really happy that it's recyclable and that the expiration is on the unit carton.

Need a lot of building up, but easy to blend. But, not worth the price in my opinion
The palette comes inside a brown packaging box of its own. Inside the palette is bubble wrapped. The palette has an outer cardboard sleeve. The front of the sleeve has the same appearance as the front of the palette. The back of the sleeve has product info like ingredients. Some shades contain talc and some contain mica (see photos to see ingredients). It says that it’s cruelty free (leaping bunny logo) and paraben free. It says it’s made in Italy. The back of the actual palette just has the brand name and logo and website address. The front of the palette has a slightly engraved design on it (see photos). The palette feels like it’s made of cardboard, but it has a nice weight to it. The lid is magnetized.Inside the palette, the shades were covered with a plastic sheet protector. There’s a little square mirror on the lid. It’s just a little smaller than the lid (see photos). There’s no shade names.I did finger swatches on a clean forearm (no lotion, primer, etc.). All of them I did 2 swipes (layers), except for the second shade in the last row, which I did 3 swipes for.The mattes all felt soft and smooth, kind of silky. They weren’t too pigmented, they all needed built up. They were easy to blend out. The black wasn’t very pigmented. I don’t mind when blacks need building up because if they’re too pigmented, they can be harder to blend out. But, this one needed a lot of building up on the eyes. The shimmer in the second row felt soft and smooth, kind of creamy. It picked up easily with a finger and glides onto the skin easily. It looks nice on the eye. The shimmer in the third row felt a little creamy. It picked up easily with a finger. It looks flakey/chunky on finger. When swatching it, it’s slightly flakey/chunky and is more sheer than I’d like. But, it smoothes out okay and builds up well.Overall, this isn’t a great palette in my opinion. $40 for 9 shades is a lot in my opinion, so it needs to perform well enough to be worth that price and I just don’t think this is. The mattes were soft and blended easily, but needed a lot of building up. The shimmers were pretty but also needed built up. If I get an affordable palette and need to build up mattes or shimmers I don’t mind it, or if I need to use a wet brush to apply a shimmer to make it pop, I don’t mind it. But, if I’m going to pay $40 for 9 shades, I don’t want to spend a bunch of time building up the mattes, and I want the shimmers to pop without needing built up. So, I just can’t recommend this palette. But, if you’re looking for something that is really easy to blend and will give you a soft look, this might be what you’re looking for.

Overpriced 9 pan neutral palette with redundant special shadows...
This Pippa of London Camden Eyeshadow Palette is much prettier in person. The colors are more neutral and wearable than I was expecting based on the listing images. This is an everyday palette for me. There are two special shades in this palette, both are gold (one is a shimmery glitter and the other a flakey glitter). The other 7 shades are all mattes. The gold glittery shadows in the palette are very similar in tone but differ in texture (refer to my photo). One is a very flakey gold glittery metallic while the other is more of a smooth shimmery gold metallic. I do feel like they are a little redundant. In all honesty, if I’m reaching for a metallic gold to top off my eyeshadow look, I’m going for the big guns, the gold flakey glitter shadow. The rest of the palette has a good variety though. The mattes are different tones, depths, and colors. They are all very creamy, pigmented, and easy to blend. The packaging for this palette is also nice, very sleek and sophisticated. I just think that $40 is a little too much money for a 9 pan palette of neutral eyeshadows. Especially when two the shades are so similar. If half of the shades were special shadows, then maybe I could justify the cost...but not as it currently stands.

The gold eyeshadow! OMG
What a beautiful eyeshadow palette! (Pippa of London Camden Eyeshadow Palette)I had never heard of Pippa of London before but was curious to try what seemed to be (and indeed from what I can tell is) an upmarket makeup brand. The eyeshadow palette (Camden) is the perfect amped-up basic brown combination you didn't know you needed. The star of the show - indeed it literally glimmers - is the gold colour. It's absolutely breathtaking. It's a tad on the glittery side and definitely not for daily wear (well, depends on your day!) but it's so beautiful. It's like applying gold leaf to your eyes. There is also a more subtle metallic gold for more frequent wear. The other colours are wonderful basics that are not, well, basic. You can use them wet or dry - and I like to use the black colour with a moist brush to use like a smoky eyeliner.Pippa of London is, as you might expect from its name, a UK-based beauty brand. I like how they are really transparent on their website and in promotional materials that they are "almost" Vegan. It shows they are trying and are conscientious about animals yet are still balancing some aspect of product manufacturing or quality control that doesn't quite allow them to be there. Per their website, they describe how "most products" are vegan: "[We are] Cruelty free. We refuse to consider any form of testing on animals. Our entire range meets this standard and most products are also 100% Vegan." So it seems that some of their products are, in fact, vegan, just not all of them, not that all of their products aren't quite vegan. Thought this was interesting, if it matters to you.Overall, the packaging is thoughtful. It's cardboard and lightweight yet not cheap. You get a clear pan liner to help keep the eyeshadow powder safe, and a mirror which is actually a useable size inside. The eyeshadow palette isn't too big and it's not too small - you get a nice amount of each colour. It's small enough to fit in a purse if needed.I'm enjoying using this eyeshadow collection. Can't wait to try out some other Pippa of London products.

Beautiful colours
The media could not be loaded. As soon as you dip your finger into the pan and swipe on your hand any colour you can tell it's a good quality product.Minimal fall out (especially matte colours can be often quite bad for that). Having said that most sparkly colours often have some fall out so better to use dampened brush or apply those with the fingers. There is one shimmery tone and one glittery. Apart from that the palette is matte. The colours look quite muted and neutral in the pan but the eyeshadows have a great colour pay off.My favourite actually is the sparkly one because it's just the perfect tone champagne gold tone with a hint of rose. Not too yellow, pink or white and looks beautiful on.I think the colours work well together and you can create many looks from natural to glam. The paper packaging is not too bulky and heavy so great for your kit as it won't add much extra weight.I haven't heard about this brand before but would perhaps compare it to ABH pallets, only this one seems to me having better packaging and the eyeshadows pans are a bit bigger so better value.I am sure I will get a good use out of most of the tones in the palette and they blend nicely.Quite keen to try now some other Pippa of London stuff.Very pleased with the new product/brand!
