Prego Pasta Sauce, Traditional Italian Tomato Sauce, 67 Ounce Jar

Prego is my always go-to sauce! I feel it has a more robust taste with a nice zing, but it doesn't overpower the palate. It has a well-balanced touch of sweetness, but it isn't a super sweet sauce like some of the others out there. It is not bland and boring like other brands; in my opinion, it truly excels. ​One of my absolute worst experiences with spaghetti is when the sauce just falls off the noodles. Prego doesn't do that—I love that it is thick and never runny! I have been eating Prego since I was a kid. I was born in 1980, and growing up, I tried a lot of different sauces at friends' houses, but Prego was my mom's go-to and always my favorite. It tastes exactly the same today as it did when my mom made it. ​For my family, I always use a ratio of 1 3-lb jar of sauce, 1 lb of meat, and 1 lb of cooked noodles. It seems to be absolutely perfect for our tastes. When I make it, I always season my ground beef with herbs and garlic as it cooks, drain the grease well, and then add the sauce to let it simmer for a while. Sometimes I use a little bit of water to get that last bit of sauce out of the jar, letting it simmer low and slow to thicken back down. If I ever need to stretch the sauce a bit, I'll sometimes add just half a small can of Italian herb tomato paste with a touch of water, and it still tastes great! ​I also use this for a quick pizza sauce, which is really nice as well. We always serve our spaghetti with a side salad and garlic breadsticks or cheesy garlic bread. I just love this sauce!

I always love the fave flavor of Prego spaghetti sauce and it’s easy for everybody to get not just in the stores but here and I totally recommend it cause it’s one of the best it’s not too watery. It’s very rich the texture based on whatever flavor you get the texture could be chunky or basically very saucy it. Honestly, it depends on what flavor you get the ingredients never change it’s sealed so it won’t leak or open up or anything and the size it’s a good meal size. You’ll enjoy it. If you haven’t tried it before you’ll enjoy it. I could says it comes in various flavors, so don’t cheat yourself treat yourself.!

I make my own sauce. Like most Italian women, we think ours is the best. I will admit, Prego is absolutely delicious and hate to admit it has mine beat.

As a home cook who loves tweaking recipes, this sauce is a fantastic starting point. The flavor is classic—rich tomato with a nice balance of sweetness and herbs like basil and oregano. It’s not too tangy or overpowering, making it versatile for spaghetti, lasagna, or even pizza. I jazz it up with garlic, red pepper flakes and additional spices, and it takes my additions like a champ. The texture is smooth and thick, clinging perfectly to pasta without being watery. The best when it comes to cheap sauces.

Great flavor and absolutely delicious!! Good for simple spaghetti dinners and even better with squash, mushrooms, onions, etc. added to this sauce for a great spaghetti!! I highly recommend as it's not too expensive! I love the way it actually sticks to the sauce because of the thickness.

I did try this, and we all liked it ok. Not as good as home made, but still good for a quick meal. I bought a bunch of jar sauce and pasta to donate to foodbank along with other easy meal ideas. Folks always appreciate eady meal quick fixes.

Tastes great and not too acidic or salty. Has a good thickness to it. I wish it came in a plastic bottle like the larger size. If you are looking for a red pasta sauce that has quality but doesn't cost too much, this one is for you!

Slightly over priced for a pasta sauce coming out of the bottle ( and it is a tiny bottle) but this is definitely a decent sauce if you're trying to make some quick pasta.

The sauce has good texture and tastes rich. I also suspect my local pizza place that I love might be using this.

Jars were much smaller than what I was expecting but are totally the real Prego sauce.: my favourite!!! Delivered in a timely manner. Thank you.
