Perfect!
The Bug Bite Thing suction tool is one of those simple products that really surprised me with how effective it is. I was skeptical at first, but it genuinely helps reduce itching and irritation from mosquito bites and other insect stings when used correctly. It’s very easy to use and works without any chemicals, which I really appreciate. The suction mechanism is straightforward, and after applying it, I noticed a significant reduction in itching within a short time. For something so small and simple, it can make a big difference in comfort. The compact size also makes it convenient to keep in a drawer, backpack, or travel bag, so it’s always available when needed. It feels sturdy and reusable, which adds to its overall value for money since you’re not constantly buying treatments or creams. I also like that it’s safe for both adults and kids, making it useful for family outings, camping, or just everyday summer use. It’s especially helpful for those who react strongly to bites and want quick relief without medication. Overall, this is a clever, practical, and highly effective tool for insect bite relief. It does exactly what it promises and has become a must-have in my household. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who spends time outdoors.

I adore this thing, in spite of my face hickey (it was my fault)
This is the second one I have bought for our household. I won’t go outside without it. We are recent transplants to Florida, and these are the meanest mosquitoes I’ve ever met. Sure, the Louisiana mosquitoes are the size of hummingbirds, but they’re not real go-getters unless you’re in the swamp. These Florida mosquitoes are sociopathic. Insanely aggressive and their bites are nasty and itchy. AND THEY ARE IN OUR BACKYARD! Two days ago I was in the yard and was attacked by a gang of these creatures. They dive-bombed me from all angles and chomped down on me more or less simultaneously. Side note: At the same time I learned that “natural” bug repellent made with essential oils might work on less ambitious mosquitoes, but it didn’t work with these. I ran inside to avoid further attack and grabbed the Bug Thing. I had a huge bite on my forehead (one of 12 bites in total), and it itched like crazy. I didn’t want to do to my face what I did to my arm a few years ago, scratching like a maniac while I slept and ending up with a scarred arm and blood-stained sheets. So I busted out the Bug Thing. In my eagerness to get rid of the itching, and because the bite was big, I kept the suction going for a long time. Too long, as it turns out. I didn’t read the instructions with our first Bug Thing, because it seemed self-explanatory, but the devil’s always in the details, isn’t it? Turns out, there’s a big fat warning about not using it on your face. Who knew? (Everyone who read the instructions, but not the girl with the big purple circle on her forehead.) I regret NOTHING. This thing works amazingly well, and so what if I have a quarter-sized love bite on my forehead? Big whoop. THE BUG THING IMMEDIATELY STOPPED THE ITCHING. Bruises go away; scars from fingernails, not so much. Another word of advice: I bought several of a knock-off brand, thinking, “It’s a plastic barrel with a plunger, how hard could it be to replicate?” I guess fairly hard, because the knock-offs were flimsy and I couldn’t really get a good vacuum with them. I mean, I guess I wouldn’t have been able to suck a ridiculous bruise to the surface of my face with one of the knock-offs, but I probably wouldn’t have been able to suck the itch juice out of my skin, either. I’d much rather have a bruise than a bite. Anyway, this thing is awesome, just don’t use it on your face…or do. I would100% do it again.

Great, except not durable
I wish I could give this 4.5 stars because this original has the best suction compared to all the knock-offs out there. But, I am only given a choice of 5 stars or 4 stars. Unfortunately, after using the Bug Bite Thing regularly for a few months, the cap cracked and is no longer suctioning at all. Had to toss it in the garbage.

Works very well for mosquito bites
I'm pretty allergic to mosquito bites. They swell up and often leak fluids. This thing works surprisingly very well. It does not suck out fluids like the video suggests. However, it massively reduces both the swelling and the itchiness (I assume it has something to do with blood circulation). I easily forget the mosquito bites are even there. Worst case scenario, I just use it a second time if it still bothers me and the problem goes away pretty quick.

Not that useful for me
Have you ever gotten a mosquito bite? Did you ever realize you had one right away? If you’re the type to not realize you have a bite then this tool is useless. It appears you need to use this right away for it to work. As for me my bites show up later as a hive. When using this tool on my hives nothing gets pulled out. No liquid, nothing. The tool definitely works well as a suction tool for sure, but it doesn’t appear to work by the time a hive shows up. There are heating gadgets that you can try that work better than this suction tool.

It works fast when used soon after being bitten
I have used this device for two years now. Provided you use it as directed within 15 minutes of a bug bite it works very well. Stinging and itching disapper within 10 minutes leaving no welt. Only one time did I have the tool leave a circular mark on my skin for 2-3 days and I attribute thisi to the fact that I'd just used face cream. I think the suction was extra strong. I would be careful with very tender skin (i.e. near surgical site, small child/infant).

Big bite thing Works
This thing REALLY works! My husband must be allergic to 🦟 mosquitoes. All of a sudden they were eating him alive, even in the house. The bites are horrible, red and itcy. I bought this little plastic thing thinking it wouldnt work, but inexpensive, so worth try. This thing sucks the poison out, relieves the symptoms. I bought another to keep in the front of the house. We also for a pest service, which Is helping a lot but when they do bite, the sucker makes it tolerable!

Didn't work for spider bite
Easy to use. Instructions are easy to follow. Portable design, can take it anywhere. Price is right. It was not effective on a spider bite. I tried 2-3 times, but It didn't draw anything out of the punctured skin. I will try it again and update my review if another bug bite appears.

Surprenant
