Easy to assemble. Sturdy, well built and designed. Door flaps are warped as though they has something sitting on them or were packed wrong for shipping. Also, the magnetic inserts work great when they come up against the stainless metal inserts but do some do not have much holding power against each other. Why not make one side of the flaps magnetic strips and the other metal inserts?

The door entrance for my dog was too small. It said Large but evidently I will need an extra large. My dog has to squat and squeeze to get through. In years to come if authritus sets in he won't be able to get in at all. Setting it in place was with great ease. The door is perfect but sadly not for my dog. I wish they made a larger size.I will have to return it.

Fantastic dog door access without having to go through a wall. Purchased this for new house with black sliders - a bit fancier than the previous white model purchased at Home Depot about 6 years ago because you can actually tighten the spring mechanism to lock it in place - definitely helped keep it snug. These units will never be fully airtight, but using foam strips on the edges and top do help. In winter I use clear plastic weather tape around the top/bottom and house edge (not the sliding door side) to add extra barrier against wind and freezing air seeping in. We have dachshunds so I do have to build up a transition step inside and outside so they can easily go in/out. Longer-leg dogs likely good to go as-is.

How am I supposed to lock my door???? The concept is fine except my sliding door now let's in outside temperatures and it doesn't lock... I was hoping it would somehow click into my lock and have a lock attached for my door but no such luck. Do people just not lock doors?

This door is very well built, and customer service was great when I realized I shipped it to the wrong address in my account, and they dealt with UPS to fix it.

Would have given higher rating except no owners manual came with door, bottom attachment (actual door) does not securely attach to top piece the way I think it should. I received two additional screws in the box with no nuts to tighten and not sure where they go. If they fit into the bottom piece to strengthen the fitting, it would be nice to know where exactly to put them. If anyone could give me advice on where screws go, it would be helpful.

Easy to install. Looks great. Does what I need. It is a break away part but I wasn’t home to stop the chewing.

Door is quality and well-functioning.
