Review: Don't look elsewhere. I am a 2 million miler. - I have used the omni 1 and now the omni 2 for over 2 million miles over 100s of flights. These are AMAZING. They have taken an unbeatable beating over the years, but never broke. I have some pretty good gouges in them, but they never went through the case. Everything inside arrives safe and unbroken. Not sure how they do it, but probably the flex in the case? Like I said, no idea how, but they protect everything within this super lightweight case set. I have 4 sets now. One for each family member. I would never buy another set. As a constant traveler, with a lot of gear, this is by far the best travel tool I have ever bought. You don't need to research, just trust me. They have so many miles and 100s of flights on them, and nothing has broken on them. One cool things about them. If you fill the medium case, it doesn't go over 23kg. Its design seems to be perfect for the weight requirements. I really appreciate the effort they put into designing the perfect size to comply with the weight restrictions. The large one can get over 23kg if you are not careful. The large is designed for the business class 32kg. It also fills to that weight with typical travel packing. The carryon does not have a pouch for your laptop or anything like that, but it ALWAYS fits overhead (un expanded of course) and rolls so easy. The beading on the outside makes it slide easy into the bin, and away you go. CON but not a CON: They are VERY slippery. They slide so easy on and off the carrousels and in and out of vehicles. ALTHOUGH they do move around when in the back. A lot. The slippery outside makes the luggage survive travel, but when in your car, you need to make sure they dont slide around. Tat is the con, but it is design feature to make it less likely to get stuck of damaged in the airport belts.

**Q: Why does the title say carry-on if it isn't?**
A: It says the overall dimensions are 22.5x15.5x9.5 in the description at the top. This does not meet carry-on dimensions of 22x14x9 for almost all US carriers.

**Q: I don’t have instructions how to set up locks.**
A: 1. Open the lock (0-0-0)
2. Press down on the reset button with a tool until you hear a “click” sound
3. Set your combination by turning the dials
4. The lock can now be open when you push the button.  You will hear a “click” when the reset button releases

**Q: Do these three nest inside each other for storage?**
A: Yes they do nest inside of each other

**Q: What is the total weight of the 20" luggage?**
A: The weight is slightly over 8 lbs. (if my travel scale is absolutely correct)

I have used the omni 1 and now the omni 2 for over 2 million miles over 100s of flights. These are AMAZING. They have taken an unbeatable beating over the years, but never broke. I bought the Samsonite Omni 2 luggage set for my boyfriend for Christmas because we travel a lot and needed something dependable — not cute-for-one-trip luggage, but a real “we’re catching flights again next month” type of set. And this delivered. First off, it’s sturdy. You can feel the quality immediately. The larger suitcase comfortably held enough clothing for a full two-week trip to the Bahamas, and he’s not exactly a “light packer.” Everything fit without the zipper feeling stressed. The wheels? Smooth. Like glide-through-the-airport-without-breaking-a-sweat smooth. And we’re avid airport runners. No dragging, no wobbling — just effortless rolling. The expandable handles are solid and sturdy too. They easily supported a travel backpack sitting on top without that scary bending feeling cheaper luggage gives. After a two week trip to The Bahamas, there were no obvious scuffs or scratches, which honestly impressed me because baggage handlers do not play nice. I did end up getting him luggage covers after that trip just to keep it looking brand new long term — but even without them, it held up beautifully. If you travel often and want something durable, spacious, and smooth to maneuver, this set is absolutely worth it. Practical gift? Yes. But also low-key an upgrade to our entire travel experience. We travel to Bimini in April.
