Messy and not quite as DIY as the product implies
In summary, this product works but using it is messy, and it's not simply a matter of using it on your grout and walking away. Extra work is required, and that can be time consuming. Furthermore, the tubes break easily. I got 2x this product back in 2022 but it's only now—in mid/late 2024—that I found time to use them. Our bathroom suffers from mould damp much everywhere, including on the grout, and I wanted to fix that part at least. Upon opening this product and trying to use it, I was surprised at how runny it was. It looks, smells and acts like white emulation paint. I thought maybe I hadn't shaken it enough, so I put the top back on and did so. But, nope. Still runny. This meant that applying the reviver liquid caused it run down the wall, and drip everywhere, such as onto the floor, and all over my hands. Now, remember how I said it was like emulsion paint? Well, wiping up paint is difficult because it's full of colour pigment. You need a clean cloth for each and every wipe, or you'll end-up spreading it everywhere. So, pain point #1 and #2 were right there, and you should be prepared for them. Nevertheless I continued best I could. Weirdly, the reviver started getting a little thicker, the more of it I used. This makes me think it really did seem some kind of superhuman shaking was required before use, but given that I really vigorously shook it, such a level of agitation is beyond me. Maybe they should put a ball bearing inside like they do with spray paint cans. I carried on until the first tube burst in the middle and started leaking copiously. OK, time for tube #2. This worked like the first, but then the sponge fell off, rendering it useless. At this point I remembered what a reviewer had written here on Amazon about applying it with a paintbrush. So, I cut upon the tubes and poured the content into a small container, and grabbed a thin paintbrush. Sure enough, it now did seem to be a little thicker. It's a bit like 80% white emulsion paint, and 20% grout. Odd, but I suppose that makes sense. This new method of application worked pretty well. Dripping and runnyness were no longer a big issue. At this point it became clear that two coats of the reviver would be required to cover up some of the darker staining on the existing grout. This wasn't hard, though, and I wish I had started by simply using a paintbrush. I came to realise that it was impossible to avoid overpainting onto the tiles themselves even with the paintbrush but especially with the sponge tips. This meant that a whole new messy follow-up was required of waiting until it had all dried and then either washing off the overpainting (but remember what I said about how hard it is to clean up emulsion paint and how it just goes everywhere?!), or using a razor scraper. I decided on the second route, and this added another few hours, and quite considerable mess in terms of dust and scrapings getting everywhere. However, the result is pretty good. This product really does make grout look almost new (with the second coat I applied). But the difficulty of applying it, and the huge mess created, means that I wouldn't choose to use this product again. I suspect the smaller grout reviver products that are more like a marker pen might be a better choice. I also suspect that just getting some standard white emulsion and a very fine paintbrush might be a quicker and less messy way forward. Oh, and this product doesn't work in the shower. It just washes away. So, good for the bathroom tiling in general, but I wouldn't use it anywhere water will be frequently sprayed.

Consistency
Good but apply thinly or cracks and falls off

Does exactly what it says
Really easy to use and does exactly what it says. I was concerned any excess would need scrubbing off with difficulty but honestly I applied it left it to dry over night and the excess came off the following day with a hot soapy cloth my grouting looks brand new. It really does go a long way too I done 4 walls of tiles and still have a bit left. Brilliant

it works, but it’s not easy!!
So I read the reviews before buying this product and for some reason assumed I wouldn’t encounter the same issues as everyone else did. Please don’t be like me, you should expect to have the same problems and plan ahead! I have just bought my first home and the bathroom is covered in white tiles from floor to ceiling. It must be nearly 10 years old now and so the grout has seen better days. It would be pretty exhausting and expensive to regrout the entire room so I settled for this product to refresh the worst of it. Upon opening the tube I immediately squirted the product into my eye, so be careful pushing any air out of the tube or you might get the same thing! At first I thought the product was working amazing and the complaints were unwarranted, but about 10 minutes later it became clear this would be a messy job. The product spills out of the sides of the sponge if you squeeze the tube too much (which is very easily done when you have to hold the tube to apply the product), then about a third of the way through the sponge fell off. There is no way of sticking it back on as it’s just glued by the looks of it so I resorted to using my finger which made the situation worse, but the product was pretty difficult to control even when the sponge was still attached. By the end I was shattered and covered in paint so be warned this is not a quick or an easy job. Anyway, I left it to dry before removing excess and I think it’s definitely not true that extra product just wipes away with water. Water didn’t really work so I used a bathroom cleaning spray which did the job but as there was so much excess to remove it took a lot of effort to rub the product off and was easy to end up with cloudy streaks over the tiles themselves. I had to give up and go to bed and come back to it the next morning to get the last of the streaks off the tiles as my arms were hurting so much! All that being said I am really happy with the result; the tiles look like they could be brand new and considering this was 5 pounds and took about 2 hours all in all (mind you that is just the shower area - I haven’t attempted the rest of the bathroom yet!!) I would probably purchase again but just invest in a small paintbrush and use that right from the beginning to avoid making such a mess.

Really lifts the look of my tiles.
Used this before in my last house. Just as happy with it. Easy to apply and clean off excess. I didn't like the look of my tiles in the kitchen of my new house. They were a strange shade of off white. Now the grout looks clean and white I am happy to keep them.

More hassle than it’s worth
The size of the fixed foam applicator makes spreading the liquid accurately very awkward and in the end you end up spending 3 times as long removing the waste. In use the applicator came off the dispenser so I had to improvise. Overall I would strongly advise not to use the product unless you are doing a very small area.

Be gentle and you’ll be fine
After reading all the reviews I nearly didn’t buy this but thought I’d give it a go. The product itself is 5 stars. You need to be very careful, don’t squeeze the tube, don’t tip it face downwards and you’ll be fine. I quickly swept across horizontal lines and then vertical, rather than doing a tile at a time. If you’ve used that carpet cleaner that has a sponge end and spills everywhere or make up with a sponge application then you know the drill with pressure to apply. Don’t wipe down until all dry or you’ll take off what’s on the grout. Cleaning the residue is like cleaning off grout residue. Damp cloth, using your finger tip and it comes off.
