CampingazBrand of France Lava Rock for BBQ Grill

I purchased this product after reading reviews of other suppliers substituting lava rock with amounts of common garden stone. As this was a branded item and I saw no previous reviews criticising the quality I plumbed for this item. The quality of the lava was poor to say the least, some very small pieces that did not sit well on a standard lava tray in my BBQ and there was 0.87kg of common garden stone included. Very disappointed and returned with a full refund.

Disappointed with this product, was expecting nice coal size portions to replenish my BBQ. Instead what I got was very varied sizes some so small they fell through the grid. Topped off by a large section of clay pipe to bulk up the weight !Not impressed, ! Avoid !

Nice, even sized stone.Disperses the heat nice and evenly around my four burner gas BBQ.Adds that contemporary touch and allows the fat and oils to flare off giving the food that real and true smoky barbecue taste.Have found that adding these has improved the food while reducing the amount of gas being used.because of their heat retention and dispersing qualities I find that I now need the burners on a lower setting that previously when no stone where employed.Find everything cooks quickly and evenly.One box maybe not enough to cover the plate of my particular grill but thought I would try one before committing to more.Not a bad investment at under a fiver when purchased.A very good price compared to the exact same product from many other retailers.Arrived quicker that advised too.Quite happy and impressed.Decent.

High quality barbecue rock at a great price,well packaged and delivered quickly.I highly recommend the product and the company.

These seem to do the job ok. The only down side was that there was a minimum purchase of 2 boxes.No real flavour concerns using them even on first use.They do job just fine
