Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush - Live

I used to have the album, but never got around to upgrading to cd. After not hearing this for a long long time, I finally bought the cd, and I'm so glad I did! Being a not so well known artist, from a very long time ago you don't get to listen to his music even on a classic rock radio channel. I stumbled across a Youtube video of Frank Marino, and it reminded me of how long it's been since I last heard him, and how much I missed his music! Very talented artist that never really got the attention he deserved.

If you're a fan of Frank Marino. This and the other two live albums are where it's at. Good stuff.

Absolute classic, amazing album! Bought it when it came out when I was in high school, somewhere along the line it disappeared, so happy to have it back!

Mahogany Rush was not one of those main stream bands from the 70's and 80's. That is what makes them so great to listen to today. You didn't get a chance to hear these tunes on your local radio station (their mistake). If you are on the fence about purchasing any Old Mahogany Rush CD's or Albums, Do It Now. These CD's are not being reproduced and when they are gone the price of these will go thru the roof!

A good live album but not great, but I like Frank Marino on guitar

A great live album that few will have come accross. For Hendrix fans there is an awsome version of Purple Haze.

È un disco che ho ascoltato moltissime volte su vinile ed ora ho deciso di acquistare anche il cd.Rispetto alla musica di questi giorni, si nota un eccessivo accanimento sugli assoli, ma la qualità del chitarrista è indubbia. Merita di essere ascoltato e, dato che in Italia è poco conosciuto, riserverà delle sorprese.Un seguace di Hendrix in grande spolvero.

We all know some bands that are better LIVE than they are in the STUDIO, The Stones could be said to be this way. Mick simply will not stop until the entire place is up on their feet and having a good time. He has been quoted as saying that this is how he gauges if the show is going well. MAHOGANY RUSH not to be confused with the other RUSH band is also this way. While the other RUSH band are alright in their own right MAHOGANY RUSH simply destroy any comparison in seconds of listening. Frank Marino ( also a Canadian ) on this disc does not stop until the end of the disc and believe me you will play the disc thru a second if not more times. His Hendrix style guitar riffs are amazing. The Bite, the Chop and Sustain of Hendrix was all there from the first song till the end of the last tune where he actually does a Hendrix copy and leaves no one in any doubt of what he is doing. Till then however there is NO copying the method is the same but the material is all new. Well worth the cost at twice whatever you end up paying, its that good.
