Just the mazes are not clear to explain for kids

I thought this was a professional imprint?? Clearly not. While I appreciated the color and illustrations, as an educator, I assure you this book is NOT for ages 3-5. So, if your child struggled, please blame the book. This book was absolutely not edited by a teacher…and that matters. When you give a child something way above grade level, that child tends to blame themselves. (Or worse, parents start thinking their kid isn’t smart)The publisher decided the market was larger for children ages 3-5 without regard to the book's content.These types of irresponsible marketing tactics and mismatched book hurt kids’ self-esteem. For that reason, I almost gave it a one-star review here.The word searches—especially the vocabulary here—are 7-9 at best. Maybe 7-10. That is a 12x12 matrix with words like “Narwhal”. That is just irresponsible to give to a 4 year old??The dot to dot and coloring might be okay, but even some of those are more like ages 6-8.The “find the differences” in some cases were extremely difficult - like shifts to a shadow. Again, ages 7-10.I'm not saying this as someone who doesn't want to challenge children. Quite the opposite. But when you are grossly over level that hurts not helps.I have a 9 year old child that just scored 99% on vocab and literacy ERB (national standards test for elite private schools) and he thought - as a 9 year old - that the word searches were crazy for younger kids and basically at his level…definitely not for a four year old! 🤣

My granddaughter loves this workbook.
