Not worth buying
Heavy duty plastic. Bucket rolls around with no problem. I don't quite get the purpose of the wing nuts though. They specifically tell you not tighten them tight enough to keep the base attached to the bucket if you lift the bucket. So if you lift the bucket (to lift it over your hose) it slides right out of the base. Then you have to loosen the wing nuts to get it back into the base. What's the point of the wing nuts then ??? The wing nuts should lock the base to the bucket in my opinion.Update 10/2019: After using this dolly, and their bucket, for the past year or so I have decided its a waste of money. It's actually a pain in the butt to use washing my car. I have to kick it or bend over to roll it around when it would be much easier to pick it up by the handle to move it. If your driveway is sloped you'll be locking and unlocking the wheels too. Save your money on this, and their bucket, and buy one of those yellow window washer buckets at Home Depot for $15. That's what I used before buying this and plan to start using again.

Not too shabby
It met my expectations after reading all the reviews before I bought it. As has been mentioned, product does not have the chemical guys decal. This would be their loss, not mine (free advertising). As has been mentioned, plastic thump screws to secure the bucket. They use to be metal. For my usage (car washing), I can't see the big deal. The wheels have a pro and a con. Pro, the wheels and the caster assembly in general was much higher quality than I could have hoped for. Con, the shaft of the casters that fits into the bucket platform fits very loose. I need to carry mine some distance next door and I can see one or more of the wheels falling off it's that loose of fit. However, I'll be watching for that and I'm actual use they will be snug enough. By design there's no way they'll fall out in use. Could possibly wrap the shafts in teflon tape or similar to help them fit more snug. My cat digs it. I'm satisfied. It's overall fair for $35 shipped. Amazon Prime and their shipping, the best of the best!

Makes Washing Your Car or Other easier
I use a bristle brush and 5 gallon bucket with a high quality liquid car wash to wash my car. I generally shove the bucket around with the wash brush., rarely having to bend over to pick the bucket up. This would occasionally result in an accidental tip over. Today I used the bucket dolly and was mildly struck by the lack of symmetry of construction. Five wheels and three wing nut plastic bolts. The three wing nut bolts line up with three of the the wheels making the bolts unevenly spaced. One of the bolts was difficult to thread while the others much easier. The wheels roll easily when a full bucket was being shoved around however my tipping problem was not totally solved. When the bucket is being rolled around it raises the center of gravity and when the small wheels meet an uneven surface they stop abruptly and cause a tip over. Another issue I found is the bucket can not be fastened securely in the dolly. If you try to lift the dolly with the bucket it lifts out. When encountering a hose or other obstacle the bucket and dolly must be moved separately.A couple of suggestions for Chemical Guys. Lower the center of gravity and increase the size of the wheels. In some ways this bucket dolly is solving problems that don't exist. Due to the high price I would not purchase another nor would I recommend it to a friend.

Good Dolly. Works well if you follow enclosed instructions...
I bought this to hold a 5 gallon bucket of hydraulic oil. Of course, I read all of the negative reviews to find out what people really think. Still I went ahead and purchased the unit. My thoughts:- The instructions that come with the unit state "Tighten only to stabilize the bucket, do not overtighten. Do not tighten to carry the bucket"- The instructions also state "Do not force or cross thread the bolts" "Finger tight only, do not use tools". The bolts and the dolly have fine plastic threads, it is easy to cross thread if you are not paying attention. If the bolts get tight before the bolt emerges inside, you have cross threaded it, back it out and try again.- The dolly has locks on 2 of the 5 wheels, which seems like plentySo this dolly works well as advertised if you follow the directions.

Caveat Emptor
Love being able to move my wash bucket around without having to pick it up and slosh water all over my feet....... However the one I received was NOT the same as the one depicted on Amazon. I had to put silicon on the plastic screws to make it easier to turn. Had to use crescent wrench to loosen them up and could not advance screws without silicon. It appears to be a lower quality version of one in picture. Amazon needs to update pic and not be accused of "bait and switch". BUYER BEWARE !!!
