Fits correctly and worked perfectly! Good quality.

The STOCK microphone cable outer rubber began to peel early in the use of the microphone. The cable's electrical integrity remained good, still it was annoying and unsightly. I found the Kymate replacement on Amazon and ordered it. The price was reasonable. Upon arrival it was inspected and found to have nice quality. Due to the fact the existing cable was still working and time was precious, I didn't replace it until yesterday. Replacement was easy: remove the control head of the ICOM IC-2820 radio (It is held to the body of the radio with strong magnets). Unplug the existing microphone cable. At the other end of the cable to be replaced, unplug it from the MH-133 mic. To remove the cable at each end, just press the plastic tab on the connector towards the connector body a gently pull. Now, install the new cable. The cable connectors are RJ-45 8-wire phone connectors and the cable is symmetrical and can be installed either way. Push the cable connector into the microphone connection slot until it clicks. At the other end, push the cable connector into the radio mic connector until it clicks. Then reinstall the radio control head, being careful to dress the mic wire, and the short wire connecting the control head to the radio body, back into their slots. Once you get everything aligned the magnets will put the control head back into place. The whole installation took only a few minutes. Afterwards the radio was powered up and the microphone checked by contacting another station and confirming the push-to-talk and microphone were working properly. I can't yet determine the durability, but I have faith it will be better than the original (I gave it four stars as a guess).

Work as they should. Seems like good quality. Fit my Icom 2100H just fine.

These work great, and it's a MUCH cheaper price than buying the Icom cable (if you can find one. For some reason Icom won't change from whom ever they buy their mic cords from. If you are running your rig mobile it's common for the cable to degrade from sun and heat, sometimes within three years. This cable works fine and the price is low enough it doesn't hurt so bad even if I do need to replace it in a few years. NOTE: This review is for the cable used on an Icom IC-7000.

The microphone cable for my icon 7K was completely disintegrating. So I finally ordered this one. It's slightly longer than the stock cable and seems well made. It works, not sure what else to say only time will tell how long it lasts

We have 2 Icom 2820's in our county EOC. We use them to provide backup communications for County Emergency Operations. We crossband repeat to one of four repeaters. The EOC is well shielded, but we can reach all the repeaters from anywhere in the EOC with an HT. The EOC and all four repeaters have backup power. We were prepping for a FEMA drill, and I noticed that the microphone cable coverings were starting to deteriorate. I ordered two of these and they installed easily and work perfectly. I highly recommend them.
