FirePit+ Outdoor Smokeless Fire Pit and Grill

Had the MK1 version of the firepit for many many years. Did the job brilliantly until the bottom corroded and fell out of it. Hopefully they've addressed the issue with the better painting, however ever so slightly disappointed that it doesn't come with an outdoor cover...like the first version did. Regretting binning that bin now. Still it's a great fire pit/BBQ all round.

Absolutely brilliant bit of kit. Lights quickly and keeps both charcoal and wood burning cleanly and mostly smoke-free. Seems sturdy and pretty well made although the charging port on my battery pack is not quite aligned, which is probably a manufacturing fault. I would let that hold back a purchase as overall it’s a great portable fire pit.

It is compact and beautiful. Quite easy to start firefit with the fan. I wish it is a bit bigger when I use it at home, but it is big enough for my use case.

I don't often take the time to write a review but I felt I needed to warn others about this product. I purchased this in mid 2023 for camping only. I have used this product around 5 to 10 times and it has melted the power unit. Apparently you cannot get any replacement parts for this item so it is now effectively an expensive piece of scrap metal. I would recommend that you avoid this product and just purchase a regular firepit and save yourself a fortune. UPDATE. Biolite uk and the supplier bought the item off amazon were not helpful at all. A simple reply that the biolite had 1 year warranty and they don't sell the batteries separately. I forwarded this response to biolite directly in the US and they sent me out a new firepit+

What I like about this is it starts at really easy works with old pallets not just season hardwood so an app controlled remote for the fan speed the only downside if you can hear the fan but if you have some quite using it music in the background, you won’t notice it

Gutted was great but fan started to melt sending it back for refund but I do like the firepit

Very good BBQ with controllable flame and heat. I am impressed. Also creates a safer option than Weber / Similar compact bbq’s for open grilling. Very pleased and looking forward to using Apple and Cherry wood

I have been after a biolite for some time so when the Black Friday sale was live I purchased this. It’s so much better having less smoke so your clothes don’t smell, you also don’t need as many logs and it lites quickly.

Die Idee einer „rauchfreien Feuerstelle“ und deren technischen Umsetzung hatte mich begeistert. Nach einiger Recherche im Netz mit der Info, dass mit dem „+“ Modell die Kinderkrankheiten des ersten Modells behoben seien (hier vor allem verbesserter Korrosionsschutz durch Emaille, statt Lack), entschied ich mich diese nicht ganz günstige Feuerstelle zu kaufen. Die Lieferung erfolgte schnell und zuverlässig. Nach dem öffnen fiel mir jedoch auf, dass die Emailleschicht im Brennraum großflächig fehlte (vgl. Bilder). Ich schickte das Gerät wieder zurück und bestellte gleich ein Neues, in der Hoffnung, dass es sich hier um eine Ausnahme handelt. Als heute das zweite Gerät eintraf, musste ich leider feststellen, dass hier vergleichbare Probleme bestehen. Zusätzlich war eine Strebe des Kohlenkorbs an einer Seite abgebrochen, vermutlich durch zu festes Montieren der Griffe per Kabelbinder an das Rost?! Wie auch immer… auch dieses Gerät geht nun zurück, da ich bei >300€ ein besseres Qualitätsmanagement erwarte. Schade, die Idee finde ich nach wie vor klasse…

This is the best investment I have ever made ❤️ Use it as a Weber, cook as a grill, cook using direct heat or indirect heat. Then remove that brilliant sliding grill, chuck a log on and kick back and relax.

Je n'ai pas encore testé le BBQ et j'hésite à le renvoyer car au vu du prix, je ne trouve pas cela normal de livrer du matériel abîmé. J'en ai pour preuve les photos.
