Can this pipe can standing itself without holder?

Pipes fittings are weak and breakable.did not have my less than two week,and the fitting broken.

Are any parts of it plastic

Plastic stem of the pipe joint broke (at the mortise/tenon) after approx 12 hours of rest. About 2 months of owning the pipe. Was attempting to remove the stem to clean and it snapped right off in the mortise. Plastic is cheap for a reason.
