Ok, so not needed for child proofing but for an upper freezer door that always opens a crack when the fridge is closed. This caused this freeze/thaw situation that i wasnt sure was the machine or the door. It was the door and this product, while a bit finicky to open has been working very well for at least a month. I had wanted a velcro type earthquake strap thinking it would be easier to open but this is doing the job nicely

3 out of 4 worked. 1 was defective and didn’t stick. I contacted amazon as I would’ve liked a replacement for the defective one. But since the company has a limit on how many you can buy, I was told I can’t get a replacement one. I was more than willing to mail the defective one back! This is frustrating! I ordered 4, because I need four. So now I have to scour store to store in my city or look online elsewhere for another one.These are easy to instal, and the decoy button really works for kids. My 2 year old tried really hard to get the fridge door open and couldn’t. So these are strong and stay put.Just disappointed that I received defective one and can’t even have it replaced. It’s through no fault of my own so doesn’t seem fair. :/ I understand the company has a limit on how many you can buy but an exception should perhaps be made if someone received a defective one. Because they can’t use it and and If you ordered 4, you should be able to use all 4. Very inconvenient. I deducted one star from adhesion as one didn’t stick. Therefore defective. And it was used on the same surface as two of the other ones.

We have had these locks in place for a few weeks now and they work perfectly for keeping the little ones out of places they shouldn’t be!We used ours on a couple of drawers to start with. The decoy button worked immediately and still does and the lock is even a good distraction from the drawer handle itself.My wife was initially concerned that the drawer can still open slightly, but it is nowhere near enough for the little ones to get in. And I wouldn’t recommend installing them too tight as this will put unnecessary strain on the strap and make it more difficult for you to open and lock again.

I bought six of these and have been using them as I need. When I installed the first two, I noticed one of them had some weird stains on it. I figured maybe my hands were dirty when I installed it or something. Now a few months later I opened another one and this one also had the stains. I opened the rest of them and they all had these weird reddish brown stains on them. Really not sure what it is but it does gross me out and ruin the look of them which is unfortunate given their individual price. Other than this issue, they’re effective and easy to install.

I am in love with product.Best decision ever to get this for refrigerator. My 5 year old kid keeps trying to get into the fridge or leave the fridge open for long and doesn't shut it. So i came across this safety straps and god this is such an amazing product. This helped so much in keeping my kid away from opening the fridge. We absolutely loved the safety straps and planning to buy a couple of them again as this seems to be very useful for baby proofing. The safety strap is easy to install and doesn’t need drilling, it has got adhesive. Just make sure to clean and fully dry your surface before applying the adhesive. The decoy button is a nifty and best feature that outsmarts not just kids but adults too. Such a genius idea. I have been suggesting this safety straps to everyone who have kids at home.Pros: easy and quick installation, lightweight, useful and strongly made.Cons: one time use.

I honestly didn't buy this product to use it as a child lock what I actually bought this for is because my fridge kept opening every time I would close the bottom fridge door the freezer would open or vice versa the freezer would open the fridge door so I use it to not allow each of those doors to open easy to install but once you install it I don't recommend trying to move it so be sure where you want to put it because you can't take it off afterwards it's very hard to take off sorry it can come off as it's hard to take off

This was a lifesaver! My son was getting into our cupboards and this saved me many headaches. I read many reviews about the adhesive not being strong enough but I haven't had any issues. My son in very rough and pulls on the cupboard pretty hard and this lock will not budge. If you follow the instructions and clean the surface and let it dry before installing you shouldnt have any issues. Will be purchasing another for my fridge when he figures out how to open that.

This fridge lock is great! I actually bought it because the fridge door kept popping open during the night. This works perfectly to keep it closed all the time.It's very easy to install. Make sure the fridge surface is clean and dry, I just gave it a good couple of wipes with alcohol (the everclear we use for sanitizer) and rinsed with water. Then it's just peel and stick. Press on firmly, then let it cure for 24 hours. So apply it while the kids are in bed so it has many hours to cure before anyone touches it.We've had no issues at all with daily use, keeps the fridge door closed and fools the kids, but I noticed recently, after several months of use, that a good solid tug on the large piece will release it - we don't have to pinch it to unlock it anymore. It still stays locked until you want to open the fridge and it still fools children because it looks locked, but it isn't firmly locked like it was in the beginning. (6-8 months ago)Still, overall, a good purchase. When we bought it, Amazon price was the same as store price. About 10.00 Delivery was fast and on time.
