Wrong product for my fridge

This IS a good replacement for a RPWFE filter. In order to use it, you NEED (NEED) HAVE TO HAVE the fridge read and authenticate the chip from another filter. It needs to be taped to the filter housing.You can use a RPWFE filter's chip, but just know that it will take some time to remove. I tried using a knife to 'pry' the chip, but know that it is NOT a regular RFID tag. It's a literal chip that is surface-soldered to a RFID tag, then glued to the body of the filter. If you try to remove the RFID 'sticker', you will leave the chip behind and null/void the whole thing.NO CHIP, NO WATER. Remember that.Cut the body of the filter with a saw or something and then tape the RFID tag to the location in the fridge that reads the RFID. If you use the chip from the bypass filter, the fridge will read "Not filtered". Otherwise, from a RPWFE filter, the fridge will still say "99 days overdue"Regardless, this filter DOES work with the RPWFE fridges, and it tastes delicious. Good luck!

My family will only use the refrigerator water so these are a economical value over the $50 refills at the store

This product was well made and shipped quickly. It is important, however, to ensure you get the correct filter since the RPWF is NOT the same as the RPWFE. I ordered the wrong one because of this oversight.

Knew this was too good to be true to get 4 less than the price of one. Once installed, the water dispenser off notification came on and water wouldn't work. We unplugged fridge and reset 3 times but still won't work. We plan to buy the $50 filter and see if that fixes the problem.

Bought these to replace the RPWFE type water filter that has the chip. For the price, I don’t mind the fact that my fridge says”not filtering” when I know the filter is doing it’s job

I don’t know how these filters work for other refrigerators, but they definitely don’t work for GE appliances. After inserting the new filter, we kept getting a leak detected error. I called GE and they said you cannot use any other brand of filter in their refrigerators because they have a chip in them that the refrigerator reads. So you must buy the $50 GE filters.
