This strainer has been so helpful to have during canning and freezing season. We can boil the water and put our veggies in the strainer and put them down into the pot of boiling water. We can then lift them out and into cold water for blanching. We can do the next batch without having to boil a whole new pot of water. This has saved us such time, and water too! This strainer is sturdy and well made. The feet on the bottom are also sturdy. It is just the right size too. I am so glad that I chose this one.

The best colander I've ever used: size, shape, number of holes and it doesn't rust.

Good quality and size. After our plastic one broke, I went with this one and it's perfect, it drains fast and is big enough for big pasta dishes. Only one thing I had trouble with was removing the manufacturer sticker and glue off the bottom middle. Recommendation for some Goo Gone solution and a cloth before using it.

As a colander, it performs it's job well and functions great. However, the biggest issue I have with this is with how hard it is to clean if you do not have a dishwasher. Being as it's majority holes, small bits and pieces of food can easily get stuck in the various holes, and it's not easy to scrub them out. It's basically a giant screen/net and cleaning such a porous surface compared to a smooth one is quite a bit more difficult. But that being said, it is a durable and great colander that performs its job/function well. I just hate cleaning this thing.

Does the job nicely. Well made and sturdy enough for frequent use. Nice size for pasta and draining vegetables. Should leas a long time.

I bought one of these for myself several years ago and have been very pleased with it. Nice weight, sturdy, dishwasher safe, nice-sized holes. I like the fact that there holes all over the colander. Bought another one for my son who is setting up an apartment.

This is a big colander. It pretty much fills up the sink. For me that's good because I'm always losing my pasta down the sink and there's no way I'll ever miss the target with this behemoth. Love the base. It exactly fits over my sink drain, so there's no back up to flood my food. Overall I would confidently recommend to anyone.

Decent collander, but contrary to the marketing you can't wash rice (at least Jasmin rice) in it usefully; the grains get stuck in the holes.

Yes, this is what I wanted; something that would drain well and it does.
