This is by far THE FRICKIN’ BEST portable cup I’ve ever spent money on!!!! I can literally carry it with me in my back pack while riding my motorcycle and not worry about my drink (usually coffee) spilling because the vacuum seal top is absolutely incredible!!!!! I use it every single day I ride to work …I originally bought this at Target 2 yrs ago and thought I lost it at work (I work in an ER so for sure it was guaranteed to be a goner)… couldn’t find it at Target and THANK GOD I found it here on Amazon I didn’t hesitate it and bought it! Luckily, my friend at work actually found my original one so now I have 2!!!!! (Well 3 if I count my hubby’s hahaha)10/10 RECOMMEND!!!

So firstly I really like the cup as a cup. It doesn’t leak, the drinking piece opens and closes fairly easily, and it holds warm pretty well (I don’t know about cold because I don’t really drink ice beverages). But the flaw is trying to get the lid off… I chose it for the size but also price point instead of a nicer one but spent the same because I had to invest in a handled jar opener to get it opened again. No matter how loosely the lid gets screwed on I need a jar opener to open it again and that takes some muscle to open it too. Maybe it’s a flaw with the one I have or it’s the combination of the design and sealing with heat? If they fixed the lid this would be a favorite for sure.*Note if drinking out in the cold the metal gets extremely cold in 27 degree weather I grabbed a knit coffee sleeve because my fingers felt like they’d get frost bite but the drink itself was still hot. Not unexpected being made of stainless steel but just a thing to think about.

There are some really great features about this mug, but one I just had to CORRECT because it kept spilling.Maybe I'm an oddball, but I use my mugs each for a different thing, and THIS ONE is my TEA mug.Never has coffee or juice or weird flavors in it; I don't want to taint its perfection.The SHAPE and BALANCE of this mug are almost impossible to explain; nigh on PERFECTION!It feels good in the hand, and is just a perfect dispensing unit for my TEA (not my coffee; I have two different ones for COFFEE, and a third one just for WATER. I know, I know... over.the.top. : )------------------------------------------ONE LAST ITEM about LEAK PROOF------------------------------------------The cup itself is pretty much leak proof, HOWEVER... using it at night, driving, for instance, I have SEVERAL TIMES ended up pouring tea down the front of my shirt because at night, with one hand, it is nigh on IMPOSSIBLE to tell where exactly is the "spout/lid opening" in the pitch black night.So it's a bit of hit or miss, to ensure alignment of the spout with the mouth. Sounds ridiculous, but it is true.When I finally got tired of SPILLING TEA, I got an idea to FIX this!!I took a SERRATED BREAD KNIFE and carved 3 glancing diagonal grooves in the lid aiming at the drink spout, deep enough for me to feel with my finger, or lip, or tongue. Now it's perfect, day or night. (Not sure if this is going to be visible in these tiny pix here? I guess I'll also add a close-up one)My lips can now FEEL where is the SPOUT, so even while driving I can align my lips with where it belongs and not end up drenched in tea, meanwhile.I deducted one star from LEAK PROOF for this... Of course typically, if you use two hands, and can SEE the lid, alignment's quite elementary. But let's not take for granted light or sight in the case of single-handedness. But anyway, Now THAT is fixed, too, and my tea cup is EVEN MORE PERFECT.I just cannot recommend this cup / mug too highly. Well, I mean I DO RECOMMEND it HIGHLY.But that spillage thing was super annoying until I fixed it!
