I'm a big fan of the 'black water' supplements. They seem to improve germination, and cut down on the fusarium. This is probably ten times cheaper than the liquid black water concentrate, if you go by colour density. I would also use this in my home-made hydroponic solution.

It was placed in a bubble mailer which was fine. However, inside that, this Maxicrop was encased in a very, very tight fitting plastic bag so I cut just the very edge of the bag where is was very flat. Still, as you can see in the photo, it cut open the side and leaked out. So, they will have to figure out something better than this. As far as the product, it seems to be working but I can’t say for sure because my plants are in shock. I am using about 10 different products to get them out of shock so that they will start leaf production and stop the downward spiral. You can see by the left side in the photo that this is concentrated stuff with that great, dark color. So, it makes you feel like you’re really getting your money’s worth! It is pretty thick powder as well. As far as ease of use, it’s pretty easy. Just mix with water and you’re ready to go for either a foliar feed or drench of the soil. The quality seems good. And I love the numbers. 0-0-17. That last number that indicates potassium, is especially for strong root production and for plants dealing with plant stress. This is Exactly what I need right now. Maxicrop has a good word of mouth rep so I think that it could make a difference with my plant babies.

I have tried different liquid organic Kelp products for foliar spraying with varying results. The Kelp companies I spoke with always claimed heat during transport and shelf life after opening were no problem, so why did my liquid kelp turn a different color, and others turned clumpy. This kelp powder eliminates my suspicion of contamination, reduced potency from heat during shipment, or spoilage after opening. It's a fine ground powder, 1 teaspoon per gallon of water, mix well, spray. Plants react favorably by 48 hours, pretty incredible. Thick, waxy plant leaves are more difficult to get a reaction from, I noticed more positive results when combining an organic nonionic surfactant and saturating leaf tops and bottoms during spray. I believe spraying in the cooler morning, an hour or more before the sun hits the plants is the best way to achieve maximum absorption before evaporation. Side note: my Summer enviroment is • Relative humidity 6-20 %, • 2,500 feet altitude, • frequent winds from 10-40+ miles per hour.
