Just, WOW. Never using any other foundation ever again. No joke. I'm not paid to say this.
This stuff is truly worth every penny. After being a bit financially strapped throughout 2020 (who wasn't?), I treated myself to this moderately priced foundation. And let me tell you, I have gone through every USA drugstore brand foundation for the past 15 years, wasted hundreds of dollars trying different brands, shades, textures, matte, luminous, whatever the eff you can imagine... this one beats out even its own other Dermablend skin foundations imo (I'm looking at you, Dermablend cover creme that gives me cakeface). My skin background: I have rosacea, varicose veins, some sun damage on my face/pigmentation, purple--greenish-blue veins on my face (especially around my mouth), very sensitive psoriatic skin since childhood. With alll these things going on with my skin, this stuff still covers everything I need it to with easy-to-apply, buildable coverage. It absorbs beautifully, doesn't cake, doesn't itch, barely feels like anything... I can't stop smiling when I look in the mirror. And of course, beauty is from the inside-out, but it sure helps me personally to see the outside I didn't think I could have. This stuff reduces some of the anxieties I have about my skin so that I can focus on things that are more important to me than my appearance. You've got a permanent customer, here, Dermablend! Please keep making this foundation! <3

Lightweight
A little goes a long way with this stuff. It's very lightweight and covers really well. One downfall is that when you sweat, the makeup runs and you end up with sweat lines on your face. The other downfall is that it cakes up on the nose area and cakes up around your under eye area. This mostly happens when you get hot. If you stay cool, the makeup holds really well.

Working toward loving this
I haven't given this five stars because, straight from the bottle it clings to dry patches. I bought it because I have eczema, and normal foundation makes it worse. Eczema is dry and flaky. That said, I haven't found the best way to work with it yet but I'm confident I will figure this out. I'm between two shades, and at $40 a bottle, I'm in it $80 and committed to making it work.First of all, it doesn't break me out or exacerbate my eczema. ONE DROP covers my face, almost too much. I think if I mix it with moisturizer, it will be great. The other problem I have is that it looks...separated on my chin after about a half day. Even after using the setting powder. I think I can improve on this. I don't have oily skin, so I don't think it's an oil thing. I think I'm missing something to do with the technique. I don't use a primer and maybe I should. I've found it absolutely necessary to use a good moisturizer before application. I will keep trying to make this work because a tiny bit goes a LONG way and it's the only liquid foundation I've been able to use.

Some advice...
First of all, love this stuff! Customer for life.1) Read all the instructions prior to use!2) Use a gentle exfoliater and moisturizer beforehand. This stuff is insanely pigmented and will make all the dead skin show if you skip this step. Let your moisterizer sink in for at least 1 minute, then use toner on a cotton pad to wipe off the excess moisterizer. For days where my skin is more dry, I've found that leaving my moisturizer on actually results in longer wear. I have combo skin and don't need a primer or setting spray with this foundation.3) If large pores or fine lines are a concern, definitely follow up with translucent powder. I would say any translucent power will do, but it would honestly be best to stick with Dermablend as it's been formulated with their foundations in mind. A light dusting is plenty, you can certainly "bake" but I think dusting looks a bit more natural. My personal experience...The swatches on Amazon are deceiving. 0N matched when comparing shades before purchase, however, WAY too light. Get a shade or two darker than what you think you are-- trust me. I'm fair/light depending on the season, and neutral. 30N is my Summer shade, and 10N for the dead of Winter. Since we're in Fall right now, I got both and mixed a drop of each-- perfect. A little pricey, but worth it for the integrity of my skin, and this stuff has a 3-year shelf life.I'll follow up with some unaltered, well-lit photos when I have chance. :) Thanks for reading.
