This is a very nice hat! It is light weight, cool and comfortable. It is also a very attractive hat. This is my husband’s second hat in this style, 5th in this brand. He had been looking at the navy, but it kept saying it was for women with other sellers. I took my chance and ordered it. The size said “L”, but I remembered his other hat had L/XL with an adjustment inside. This hat was the same and perfect to make my great husband and dad just what he wanted for Father’s Day. I recommend this hat!

I purchased two of these carkella hats a few days apart. Hats themselves are excellent. However, condition of hat upon arrival seems depend on who is packing them for shipping from Amazon on day of order. First has arrived well protected in a properly sized box. Second hat arrived stuffed into a way too small plastic bag which was then stuffed into a shipping bag with a pair of cargo pants. It is fortunate that quality of the hat is such that it is regaining its form with a little massaging.

Good travel hat

Pros:The material is more pliable and less crackly and stabby than straw. It's more breathable and less sweaty than my canvas and wool fedoras. It's supremely comfortable. The bill is long enough to keep the sun out of my face during its most sunburn-y angles.Cons:The hat doesn't have as much character as my canvas fedora. The bill is flat and refuses to be shaped to suit my style. The elastic band is prone to roll up while cramming the hat down on my head, but doesn't really help the hat to withstand wind gusts. The sizing band is more of an inconvenience than it's worth.Verdict:It's the hat I wear most often in warm weather.

Was looking for some stylish full head sun protection and came across this fabulous fedora. Very easy to pack and travel with. Fits great, looks great and provides great protection. Excited to get some more versions. Super happy with this purchase!
