Quality product at a good price
My original garage door seal seal had hardened and split and was hanging off of the door. This replacement did the trick and was fairly easy to install. Just make certain that the “T” configuration of the seal is the correct size for the aluminum channel on your door. Some are 1/4", or 5/16", or 3/8". If you get a size too small, it could fall out, too large, and it might be impossible to cram it into place. I used a solution of dish soap and water mixed in a plastic hand sprayer bottle to thoroughly lubricate the channels before I attempted to install the new seal and it worked well. I would be cautious using silicones or petroleum based lubricants or greases, because unless you know the specific formulation of the rubber/vinyl, those products could have an adverse affect on the seal. My door was a double wide (16 feet) and I wasn’t certain as to what exactly the length of this roll was going to be. I measured it at exactly 16 feet 6 inches which was perfect, because professional installers recommend overlapping each end of the door with 3 inches of extra seal and then folding/stuffing the excess back into itself. This allows for the inevitable expansion and contraction of the rubber that occurs with varying temperatures. The width of this seal is 3 3/4 inches which seemed to be about a 1/4" wider than the original on my door. This is okay, for any excess width is compressed when the door closes and than just poofs out evenly on the inside and outside of the door bottom. I really doesn’t seem to matter that the seal extends an 1/8" or so beyond the edge of the door. If it was too small in width, that would be more of a problem. Finally, like many commenters have previously noted, this task is made MUCH easier if you have a helper, especially for the installation of the new seal on a 16 foot door.

Fit Clopay door perfectly, one person install in 20 min.
Nice feel for the product. Of course you can't tell the longevity. My original Clopay lasted about 15-20 years so it was a good product. To install: You might try lowering the door just a foot and stopping it to find an easy access point. After pulling out the old spent unit, you feed in the new. A second pair of hands, say 10 year old and up, would help pull gently on the end as you feed it in the groove but without...maybe you'll need 20 min. alone. fits perfectly. I left the extra length as long as it doesn't limit the clearance at the rails. Nice product. No hangups in the last few weeks since installing.

Does the trick
Like a lot of others, I was looking for the wider (which translated to taller when it's installed) seal than what HD and Lowes carry and this one was it (3 3/4" vs. 2 3/4 I believe). It was a bit of a trick to install, but I used some dish soap solution in the track and positioned a ladder to help feed the seal into the track as aligned as possible and I was able to do it myself fairly easily. Two people would have made it a snap. The one I received was 16 feet long, which meant no extra on either end to account for contraction over time. I guess time will tell as to whether this is an issue. But, for the price, if I have to replace it every few years, it's gonna be fine. For those that want a little more rigidity like the ones with the built-in tube, you might add some common pipe insulation to accomplish that. They come in 6' sections for a few dollars. I used that in one section where I have a low spot on the floor. I noticed when I took the old one off that the installer had just stuffed some rolled-up plastic bags to do that years ago. All-in-all, a good replacement for a worn out seal that was letting mice in.

Garage door Seal
So far so good..Google how to replace. I used dishsoap as a lube. It worked great.

Fit perfectly and easy to install by myself!!
When I discovered just how badly damaged the previous garage door seal was it also revealed how badly the brackets that the seal rides in had come loose. Repairing the installation of those brackets took longer than the seal replacement itself and failure to use a soap to lubricate the tracks will make the installation just not possible whether it is by yourself or with the help of others. Chances are that there is a lot of dirt that has accumulated in the tracks for the seal so be sure to clean them out first.

Easy to install. Great value.
The seal I received perfectly matched the dimensions in the ad and was a direct replacement for my old seal. The 3-3/4" width, 5/16” wide “T” and 16 ft. length. As stated by others, this is wider than the seals sold in the big box stores. The aluminum seal track on my door is screwed (not riveted) to the bottom of the lower panel. So I cut off the old seal, exposing the screws and removed the track. This allowed me to completely clean, dry, inspect and pre-lube the T-groove. Then, I remounted the track. This allows the new seal to slide in super smoothly. With the door in the full up position (to unload the torsion spring), I had to unbolt one of the lower roller brackets to slide in the new seal. I have two ladders and was able to do this job by myself on a 15-1/2 ft. door. I can’t speak to durability, but this seal is working really well.

Make sure you know if the track is 1/4 or 5/16 th’s.
Loosened the bolts on one side of the garage door as the bracket was blocking the track. Sprayed some w-d 40 along the track, then slid the old one out. The new one slid in with no issues.
