MakitaT-01725 Contractor-Grade Bit Set, 70-Pc

Good value for money.

Has one of everything you could imagine except the thingy you need at a given moment. All sets are that way, with lots and lots of pieces you will never, ever use, but missing the one you need urgently. I recently needed a tiny Robertson bit so I quickly grabbed this box, thinking that for the price it was sure to have what I needed. Oops, all sizes except that one. It's certainly a worthwhile kit to have though and is very well constructed, just be aware that like all such kits, it's going to be missing something.

I've used this set now for 3 years both in a commercial and residential setting. The driver bits are excellent and there's enough variety to cover almost every possible screw head. The hex bits are a bit less reliable, as the magnets fall out after repeated impact use. The black oxide drill bits are next to useless, as they are brittle and significantly less durable than titanium ones. For drill bits I recommend the Milwaukee Titanium Shockwave Impact set. The case is great - durable and the shelfs don't lock each individual bit so you can insert/remove quickly with one hand (unlike the Bosch cases). Overall, a decent purchase.

most of the drill bits broke with minimal use. a couple of the phillips broke on first use as well but the rest are holding up fine. i have to check back to see if Makita warranties this set. run all makita tools and they are great. thought this impact set would be a bit more durable though.

I’ve had this a year now as a companion to my drill and driver. Used it often and entirely satisfied. Easy to keep track of loose bits and see just what you have at hand.
