He is Australian, and that is where this company was born, but after wearing one pair, he was hooked. So we splurged on a couple more pairs. Size 8.5 is perfect for him - he always is most comfortable in it, and these are ideal. Super comfortable, both inside and out. There is a special CoolMax insole. GoodYear Tire bottom soles (how cool is that??), and they are waterproof. Will last a good long time. He LOVES them. Each pair of Rockrooster boots is quality-made and comes with an extra set of quality laces. These hiking boots are good for every day wear for work for him and for hiking with me, as we have plans to do some more in the near future. These shoes will last a really long time. His first pair of work boots has lasted 18 months+ so far of wearing them very often. We are fans! 💜 🐓

I originally bought these in my normal size of 10.5 and had to return because they were way larger than any 10.5 I've ever worn. I sized down to a 10 and was more pleased with the fit but still a bit large. I was able to wear these shoes twice before the right shoe lace hole broke already. These shoes were comfortable but they've already failed. Pretty big disappointment.

The first pair I received the right hiker leaked. Amazon sent me a replacement pair and they both leaked fit was good they felt great to walk in but when a product says waterproof your feet should not get wet in three inches of water so much for Hydro membrane system have a pair of Goretex lined hunting boots that areover 30 years old and still not a leak. Fool me once same on you fool me twice same on me would not recommend this brand of boots to anyone. they must not have a leak test in there manufacturing process and they should if your telling your customer that they are waterproof

Gotta start by saying these are the MOST comfortable Hiking shoes I have ever worn 🥾The boots are not only protective but also comfy and well made..the ankle/arch/ heel support in the insole are one (if not the) of the best ..I have used multiple different HIKING boots ranging from Columbia, Keen and adidas (terrex) and I gotta say that with these boots I feel not only protected and dry , but also comfortable thru most demanding hikes/trails 💯💯👌

These boots have comfortable insoles and good traction. I am a land surveyor so I am on my feet all day on all kinds of terrain and so far these are doing very well. My only complaint is that they fit real snug width wise. Hopefully they stretch out a little. Update, I had an issue with my boots and customer service promptly responded and fixed my problem. I am very pleased with this company and there product.

I bought these boots to replace a pair of Merrell boots that i literally wore into the ground. I saw these, liked the way they looked and decided to take a chance. Glad I did..The first thing I noticed when I put them on was that my feet glided right into them without any effort and that they were very comfortable. I wear a size 9 1/2 and they fit perfectly. They were easy to lace and I was perfectly happy... right up until one of the fabric eyelets pulled out after less than four months of only moderate wear. Darn ...that's why I don't like fabric eyeletsOf course I was beyond the return date for Amazon so I contacted RockRooster via email with a description and photo of the problem. I had a reply within 24 hours that they would handle the issue with Amazon.Within three days a new pair of boots were on their way to me. That is the way it should work.This company stands behind its products and their Customer. Service is second to none.

Updating, Read full review. When my new pair showed up I was met with the same comfort as the first pair so far they have held up and feel great! Dealing with a company that is just as concerned with keeping a customer as well as selling a product has been breathtaking in today's business environment. Outstanding customer service and acknowledgeing a defective pair was paramount. Upgrading from one star to four just mainly for a good comfortable shoe and great customer service! ( previous review)When I purchased these, I had been buying Timberlands boots for over ten years. They stopped making the boot I was buying. Tried this brand and was very hopeful with them not being a brand made in China. When they first arrived they felt great fit snug but with out any annoyance or discomfort. After a few days I put them on for a day off and figured I'd wear them and begin to break them in. About four hours use only, then off again. Second use I was going to wear them in to work to completely break them in and never got the chance. They broke! If you can't stitch the shoe properly, maybe they shouldn't be making shoes at all... Very disappointed! They felt so comfortable to begin with I really had high hope's these were going to be great boots. I guess we will see but, for now, only one star and would possibly be none if it weren't for the high hopes! Returning, now we will see how their customer service is...

These are so comfortable right out of the box. Made well and true to size. I love the look and they don't feel as heavy as similar type boots. As for durability, it's too early to tell so I will update later. So far, very pleased with the look, the feel and functionality.
