Amazing pictures
The book is extremely high quality. The pages are thick and present colors well. The pictures themselves are all world-class photos and there are a lot of them. The info in the book is fascinating. It's organized according to species. There isn't a single negative thing I can think of to say about the book even if I try to come up with one. It's a must-have for whale lovers. The pictures are what really stand out, though.

GREY WHALES !!!!! Where is the information on the Grey Whales???? AND THE BLUES????
I ordered two of these books. One for me and one for my niece. We are both HUGE Whale lovers. I have been whale watching many times in Monterey Bay, off the coast of Maine, Dominican - saw mainly humpbacks in these locations. However, my most amazing trips have been to Magdalena Bay on the Baja Peninsula to see the Grey Whales. This bay along with two others is where the Greys go to mate and give birth every year - one of the longest migrations of any animal on Earth. And if they choose, they will approach your fishing panga and interact with you. I have touched and even kissed a grey whale on one of these excursions. And there is no mention of them at all in this book. And also the Blue Whales - the largest creature to ever inhabit our planet (that we are aware of). Larger than the dinasours. And again no mention? I realize there are many many types of whales and it would be hard to capture information about every single one of them. But to leave out two of the most fantastic seems neglectful. The pictures and information included in the book is amazing and beautiful. I was just disappointed not to see anything about the Greys and Blues. Also, heads up, one of my books had duplication of pages in the Orca section. And some overlay of pictures over other pictures. The whole Orca section was messed up. So beware of this in case you get one like it too. One of my books is to be a gift so I'm glad I looked through both of them before giving one away. Anyway, I LOVE whales, so I loved the book and the whales that were in it. And I know I am being redundant, but I mean Greys and Blues deserve their place.
