Great for display but the base provided only fits specific lego so not everything can be displayed. Also the width is quite small so big pieces cannot be displayed as well

This is a fantastic case. I have almost all of the LEGO collectible minifigures (see my attached picture), and this is the perfect way to display them. I’d done some research on other options, but this is the best, for several reasons. First, this beats the LEGO brand minifigure display cases that have 8 or 16 individual compartments, on several counts. It’s cheaper per displayed minifigure; it’s less fussy to get the minifigures in and out (just lift the lid to access all the figures, rather than hassling with a door that has a slippery handle that resists gripping); and, maybe most importantly, you have lots of extra room for overhang and extra-long accessories. For example, you can easily accommodate things like dolphins, skis, and fishing poles, which would be basically impossible for the display cases with individual cells. Second, this beats off-brand cases that are similar in appearance. One key difference is that these LEGO brand cases have a single solid piece of molded acrylic for the lid—just lift it off, or place it back over the base. The competitors often have five panels of acrylic that you have to slot together to form the five-sided lid. Those are really difficult to move once they’re set up (they’ll just collapse if you try), so you won’t want to touch them again after you set them up. Heck, they might even collapse if you put any weight on them at all, for example by trying to stack them. These cases, in contrast, are like the title suggests: you can play with the minifigures, and then place them back in the case with minimal fuss. You can even safely stack them on top of each other (though sadly there is no locking mechanism for stacking). Another benefit of these cases, relative to similar-looking competitors, is that these come with actual LEGO plates (six 8x16 grey plates, to be exact), which slot perfectly into the base. The top row even has some studs on the base, to help lock the plates in place. You can use these plates creatively to help attach your LEGO pieces to whatever studs you want. For example, I used a bunch of bricks to create a third and fourth tier, so that each of four rows of minifigures in the case is on its own level. (The intermediate tiers are the height of three bricks + 1 plate.) Another nice touch is that the cardboard backing is two-sided—one has a Ninago city backdrop; the other has a bamboo forest. If you’re willing to put in the time and effort, you could replace these with your own custom illustrations. Another benefit of these cases is that you can actually display small sets in them, for example the Ghostbusters Ecto-1 or the Back to the Future car. I have ten of these cases, with four more on the way. I really hope LEGO keeps making them in perpetuity, and that we’ll eventually get different colors and different background art. Good job, LEGO!

I ordered the blue one from Amazon and recently ordered 2 red ones from another retailer. All arrived in perfect condition. The cases are very sturdy and are great for displaying you Lego figures or smaller items (I used one of mine for my raptor collection). The base plates are Lego 8x16 times 3 going across so each row is 8 deep by 48 long. The second level sits up approx. 2.5 inches above the bottom one but is open all the way up. The second level has approx 4.25 inches of height. The backdrop can be removed or changed out ( as I did with my raptor). As noted in other reviews they do not stack well. So, overall these are great for mini figures or some small sets (I'm using one of the other displays for some of the poly bag Star Wars ships along with mini figures).
