Very unimpressed. Product not as advertised.
Seller (Channel Electronics) shipped old (dated 18 months ago) stock that doesn't work as advertised. According to Ubiquiti's website this AP is supposed to be 802.3af compatible. When I plugged mine in, it didn't work. A bit of digging revealed that Ubiquiti updated this product about 10-11 months ago (unfortunately no version number distinction as far as I can tell) to add this ability. It's been more than long enough that this old stock should be gone, yet here we are with sellers like Channel Electronics (and who knows who else) trying to dump old, less capable stock on unsuspecting customers. Very unimpressed with seller.

Great Enterprise AP at lower cost that equal competitors
Great product compared with many other enterprise grade wireless networks. No ongoing subscription for management, free management software (on your own server) or you can buy the management server on a mini-pc. Easy to configure wireless system and security. The Lite-AP is stylish and easy to install on a wall or ceiling. POE for decreased cable requirement. Injector is available if needed. There is no power-input directly.

Great Software & Hardware Features - Sturdy & Easy
I have had these for a year now and I bought a pack of 5 and then an extra single unit for my house. I had 2 per floor and they do good coverage, as long as they're placed properly. Our house is built with cement and steel, not wood, so the signal gets degraded and absorbed by the steel quickly, without proper planning. One of the 6 died, so I opened a support ticket to return the defunct unit (RMA), and Ubiquiti replied fast and upon receiving the dead unit, they shipped a new unit in a completely new box, so I received a new unit with all its accessories (PoE Injector, wall mount face plate & manual), which is great in case I needed an injector later (I did when I put it in a place that doesn't have PoE Ethernet). The difference between the Lite and the Pro models is that it has 2x2 Multi-Input, Multi-Output (MIMO) antennas. The Pro has 3x3 and the AC HD has 5x5. You only need more antennas if you have so many clients connecting concurrently and a big mix of 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz clients (unless you're forcing a specific signal).I enable mixing 2.4 & 5 GHz on my APs and enabled the Advanced Options to push/steer clients toward 5 GHz to deliver higher throughput, however, 5 GHz signal degrades quickly and the AP automatically shifts the user to 2.4 GHz. You can fine tune the thresholds to prevent cyclic shifting between the bands.Managing the house's connectivity using these UniFi APs and Ubiquiti's free controller software makes my life easy. Everything is under a single user interface and a click away.I should mention that I'm running their controller software on a Raspberry Pi 3 model B with a small SD Card. Make sure you use Java version 8 not 7. v7 made the software too slow and caused a lot of timeouts.
