Helinox Speed Stool Ultralight, Portable Folding Seat, Black

This little stool is feather-light, yet it feels rock-solid when you sit down. Setup is straightforward and it takes maybe 10-15 seconds once you're used to it. Folding it back down is just as simple, and the packed size is impressive - about the same as a medium-large folding umbrella. It goes into a backpack without adding noticeable bulk or weight. If you travel light and hate having nowhere to sit, this is the one. Highly recommended.

It packs ver easily in anything.

A lot smaller than I thought they would be. Very small and lightweight but will work perfect as a stool for our chairs. Really glad I got them. Could fit in the side pocket of a backpack easily.

I ordered 3 different stools for backpacking, I wanted something light, confortable, and easy to use on trail during rest stops. This chair fits one of those requirements. While it wasn’t the most complicated to use it is not an instant seat like I wanted, there is some fussing to set it up. I found a heavier one that I preferred that was a fraction of the cost (and I got two!) this stool is also SUPER low- I’m 5’4” and I found it to be awkwardly low, it has a really tiny seat area, and honestly it felt a little fragile. So it went back. If you truly want ultralight I would bring a piece of dense foam or an inflatable cushion to set on a rock. Other wise compromise on the weight and for an extra 8 Oz get something sturdy and confortable.

This is top-notch quality. There's a trade-off to get something so light and compact, so it takes a little more to set up - you sometimes have to fiddle with it a little, but that is to be expected. It's super compact and light, so easy to carry with you anywhere and have a stool to sit on.

Bought to carey in backpack and have to sit on while EV motorcycle charging. Works great for that. Also paired with a camp chair as a foot stool. Helanox nailed it with this one.

I needed something super small and lightweight yet durable and comfortable. This is perfect for my needs. I have to sit in lines for a long time and I can bring this and effortlessly open and close. I have chairs and the table from this brand and it’s just as their other products….indispensable!! I have had so many people ask me about it. It is quite low to the ground but it’s what I needed. Highly recommend!

The stool sets by removing it from the stowing bag then affixing the legs. In the bag, it fits in almost each of my packs including a mobile computer briefcase. I am currently pairing the stool with a Chair One when I have the room to pack the chair which works well but napping is not an option.

As it’s very expensive I expected to be impressed by the unique folding and compact design. Unfortunately with the one I received I was very unimpressed. 3 of the legs would locate in the lateral seat tubes but the 4th would not. It was as if that particular lateral tube was slightly too long preventing the leg from fitting. The legs either side of the stool are fixed together in the fashion of a hinged cross so there’s very little ability to ‘wiggle’ fit. Obviously the seat had not been through any quality control check. I’ve returned it and requested a full refund.
