Dove is kind of my guilty pleasure. Ok, maybe not so much guilty. It is just one of those bar soaps that actually make my skin feel nice. It is super lathering, and makes for a great shaving soap. As well as body washing soap and if need be, for my face (though usually I go for something different). It never ever irritates my sensitive skin.I absolutely adore the scent of the classic white Dove beauty bar. Reminds me of my childhood. We never actually had it in our home, but a friends house I stayed at all the time used Dove. I bathed all the time there, and used these creamy soaps that were oh so different from the harsh soaps used at home. Then a little later as a teen, I made a friend whose family also used Dove. It has a memorable scent, and I remember then it brought me back in time. It scents up the bathroom a bit, and I can always recognize it when I am near a bar. Now forward many years and I have been buying my own soap. Basically got into body washes, then fancy soaps, and eventually went back to good old Dove bar. It just brings me a little joy to smell it, and the nice soft cleansing that it has makes it a perpetual favorite. I may try other stuff, but I come back to Dove. It is just lovely.

I have tons of tattoos. Old, new, crappy and blue. After using this soap for a few months, the colors are kinda coming back. Couldn't be more pleased. The smell is kinda feminine but I couldn't care less, use the unscented if it bugs you.

I love Dove products and will continue to purchase them, but I feel the marketing on this one was at best inadequate and at worst deceptive.The description states this is a moisturizing, mild "beauty bar" for sensitive skin. (They make a point to say it is not soap.)However, just because it is good for many people with sensitive skin, it is NOT fragrance-free.Even pleasant scents give me a migraine. (And to be fair, it is a nice scent!)I should have read the ingredients which include that there is a fragrance, which is why I am giving it 2 stars instead of 1. That is on me.But the advertisement and description is clearly aimed to communicate that this is a simple, white bar for sensitive skin.I will give the bars to relatives who can handle the scent; it is not worth the hassle to return.Please do not market products as "sensitive" unless they do not contain fragrances or dyes! This is standard practice in the industry of personal items!

Scent: this bar has a clean scent, no flowers.Dove does have for sensitive skin and a good product used it for years but as I got older a needed more moisture from my soap so I went to this one still a Dove soap. Had to use it a few times for the grand baby girl and it worked well, just don't get it in their eyes.Value: free shipping helps, being on a budget you look for deals a lot of times the store may not have the size you need so cost is higher.

I’ve been using the Dove coconut milk bars for my hand washing and it’s helped quite a bit. After years of using liquid soaps that made my hands crack and bleed, I switched to bar soaps which have less chemicals. I thought I’d try the classic Dove bars and the first thing I noticed was an overwhelming amount of fragrance. In one day of use my hands felt so dry and my skin felt very tight and sensitive. I reordered the Dove coconut bars and my hands are fine again. Wouldn’t recommend these bars for anyone with dry skin.
