Pretty darn good pair of compression gloves..
NOT all body parts react the same to compression apparel, so sometimes this science is trial & error, and a lot of these items on the market are hard to understand, some are frail, some are thick, some are just plain ridicules to trust. That being said. These compression gloves are a lot nicer than I expected. They are soft and thin—which is nice for flexibility. The little silicon grips on the palm and fingers do help at holding things. The fingers go clear up close to my cuticles, so all my fingers are covered rather well which is nice, the thumb is covered to the knuckle. They are double stitched at the finger tips, to ward off any unraveling. I found taking these gloves off was a bit difficult but all compression gloves are. So What I do is I, put my hand into my arm pit close my arm and pull my hand out of the glove. It seems to be pretty easy and is not Pulling the material or stretching the material out and I don't take the chance At accidentally tearing or stretching the fingers. A little preventative maintenance I guess. I am a diabetic so my hands get very cold. These don’t keep my hands as warm as I hoped, But then Diabetics have that problem with just about any glove. But this is not necessarily a bad thing, it is just my body chemistry does not allow for these particular gloves to warm hands completely, they do a little bit though. But they do help with the stiffness and numbing that I have to deal with. I wear the medium gloves. This glove size is as like the Tommy copper gloves, and most Copper Compression gloves. Those are the other two brands that I tried, and by the way they were terrible they come apart like there’s no tomorrow. Here is how you tell what size you wear. NOTE; Always check the size charts they are not all the same. Close your fingers and put the back of your hand down flat on the table. You measure from the first finger to the fourth Pinky finger just under where your fingers stop and your palm begins. Or where your knuckles are on the back your hand. For me it was 3 ¼ inches which is a medium on most size charts. This medium glove has just the right compression for me and they are not too tight and not too loose. Now, some size charts will say 6 inches or 7 inches. So in this situation you would Measure in the same way except you would measure the complete circumference of your hand. Mine is almost 8, which is a medium. Kind of weird huh? In general, if you get a compression that is too tight it will put a large strain on the stitching and too much pressure might make your fingers ache. A lot of people that don’t measure their hands properly will deem the product no good because it fell apart, not realizing that it is simply the wrong fit. Tips for Maximum Relief • Make sure your gloves fit well. If they're too tight or too loose, there's less chance you'll get any benefits from wearing them. Ask your doctor or therapist if you need help with fit. • Stick with the 8-hour at a time rule. You probably won't see any changes if you only wear them for an hour here and there. • If you also have carpal tunnel syndrome, talk to your doctor before you try the gloves. Your carpal tunnel symptoms could get worse if you wear arthritis gloves at night. I hope this information helps anyone interested.

Amazing help for my raynaud's disease!
I have severe pain in my hands if I have extended exposure to even mild temperatures. My son had a soccer game last Saturday and the temperature was in the mid 50's. I had forgotten my gloves (it was the first really chilly day of fall), and after being outside for an hour, my hands felt like they were on fire. I received these gloves yesterday in the mail. I was very skeptical at first because the material is very thin, and I also wasn't sure how they would help my "cold hands" like it said in the item's description. The price, and also the fact that they are fingerless were big turn-offs, but I read the review for the regular Imak glove (there were no reviews for the active compression gloves), and wanted to at least try. My son had another soccer game today. This time it was 60, overcast and drizzling. I wanted to wear these underneath my regular winter gloves, but could only find one and I was running late, so I just grabbed the Imak gloves and left. Just getting into my car I could feel my hands tingling a bit, so I put them on right away. I can't tell you what an incredible difference they made! Even though they were fingerless, I didn't have any problem staying warm, and I could see my fingers were a nice warm red instead of the ghost white they normally are. My hands didn't seem to sweat, and they were comfortable and stayed dry despite the very mild rain. I'm also glad I ordered the active Imak glove instead of the standard version because these have rubber grips on the palms, which helped when I had to carry lawn chairs and gear to and from the car. I'm incredibly excited about having these gloves and what they've done so far. They saved me from a lot of pain today, and I'm interested to see how they hold up to the colder winter temperatures. I do plan on buying a regular pair of gloves to wear them under.

Glove is fine; sizing instructions are misleading.
I've only used these a few times and they seem to do the job fine, but beware: the instructions for how to determine your size are misleading. The text on the Amazon site says "measure across the palm." I meaured across the center of my palm and as a result, the gloves are a bit too big. They're not unuseable, but lacking the degree of compression I was looking for. You should measure on your palm across the lowest knuckles, where your fingers join your hand. The box the gloves come in have a chart showing what to do. Turns out I fall exactly on the line between small and medium, which is why the gloves feel a little loose. (BTW, I wear "large" in dishwashing gloves -- so by my experience, don't wing it and try to guess your size.) I'm ordering a small pair, and will keep the mediums as a backup pair (or possibly a summer pair, when everything is slightly swollen from humidity). Measure carefully, and you should be fine. The gloves seem well made, are comfortable, and I think the right-size pair will be very helpful. UPDATE: A few other reviewers mentioned having problems with seams splitting, but all six pairs of mine are just fine. I've used these now for 10 months for weight-training at the gym, and they are all in fine shape. Possibly because I have several pair and rotate them, or maybe it's just good luck, but mine are lasting very well.

Favorite glove
I wear these with grippers all the time in winter for my arthritis. Without grippers for dress. Truly helps my hands.

Best product for arthritis of the hand since ibuprofen!
The first pair of arthritis gloves I purchased tore at a seam while putting them on (different maker) and I was somewhat reluctant to buy another pair after that experience. Thankfully I decided to try these. I have to admit that my expectations were low, but these gloves are a MIRACLE! For several months I awoke every morning with the finger next the pinkie on my right hand curled into a claw and very painful to straighten. When the middle finger joined the claw I knew I had to do something. Based on reviews I bought these gloves. I wore the right glove to bed the night they arrived and the next morning my fingers were straight, did not require straightening and were considerably less painful!! I was absolutely astonished as was my wife!! I have been wearing the glove nightly ever since and I think the arthritis in that hand has somehow improved. I was so impressed I bought a second pair for backup, just do not want to be without them. Though my left hand is in better shape I often wear the pair during the day just for the warmth and comfort.

A Pregnancy Life Saver !
I bought these for my sister during her first pregnancy. She had a lot of hand pain, was dropping everything & couldn’t grip anything properly. She said these gloves really helped with her carpel tunnel & hand swelling!

Too much compression
Even though I ordered the correct size, these gloves cut off the circulation to my fingers and pulled my thumb toward my palm. Too much compression!

Not just for people with arthritis! -- REVIEW CHANGED/RATING LOWERED
REVIEW EDITED AND RATING CHANGED -- LOWERED TO THREE STARS UPDATE: Less than a year after getting a second pair of these gloves (holes developed in my first pair, as noted below), the seam along the thumb of one glove of the second pair split open. Clearly the stitching came out. I was able to sew it back together, but I shouldn't have had to. Now I don't know if I'll ever order another pair of these again. I don't have arthritis -- I wear these gloves as liners under heavier gloves on really cold days and I wear them on their own when it's not as cold out, and I just want something to keep my hands comfortable. They're perfect for both uses -- and I like the way these gloves look. They make my fingers look long and slim. Since these are compression gloves, they feel almost too snug when you first wear them, but they will stretch over time. Because they are snug but not bulky, you still have good manual dexterity while wearing them. The grippy dots are helpful. The only reason why I didn't give this product 5 stars is the fact that a hole developed in my first pair after about a year. I'm pretty sure the hole was caused by one of my rings, because the hole was positioned right over it. If you wear any rings -- particularly bulky ones with big stones -- you might experience the same problem. My ring wasn't even big -- it was a flat band, but it had a textured weave pattern and it spins, so I assume the hole was caused by friction against the ring. I wear a different flat band on another finger, and a hole didn't develop over that one. I've ordered another pair of these gloves, so we'll see how long they last.

Es bueno pero no lo recomendaría en personas con diabetes
Mi papá los sentía muy apretados, y aunque deben ser ajustados para aumentar la circulación no podía usarlos.

Best Gloves on Amazon!
I read a lot of glove reviews before I settled on these, and I am extremely happy with my purchase. I have tennis elbow and carpal tunnel syndrome in both my hands and arms, so supportive gloves are a must for me. I’ve read that osteoarthritis gloves can be problematic for people with carpal tunnel, as the compression aspect of the nerve pinches the already inflamed carpal tunnel further. However, in my case (when combined with an anti-inflammation cream like Penetrex or a Kalaya) these gloves really help me support my hands when I’m using them too often (which is always, since we need our hands to do everything!). As a video editor and artist, I don’t use these gloves while working (the compression aspect limits the movement of my fingers, and so my accuracy is compromised). Instead, I use it to support my hands when they are at rest or doing non-work related activities that don’t require such precise coordination (gardening, typing, housework, picking up items around the house). The gloves (in conjunction with an anti-inflammatory cream like Penetrex or Kalaya) allow me to use my hands more easily, while giving my hands some ‘downtime’ to rest and recover before I have to start an RSI causing activity (I.e.drawing). Someone on amazon.com recommended the sport version of the gloves for durability, and I second that. The sports version are very durable, and throwing them in the wash doesn’t lead to unravelling stitches. When I first received these gloves, they had a very unpleasant chemical smell. Just throw them in the wash, and the smell will disappear. Washing your gloves is also a good way to make your gloves tight again (they get a bit stretchy and loose with wear). The grips on these gloves are amazing, and extremely helpful if you have weak hand strength and are constantly dropping things. They make it much easier for me to hold my iPad, or dishes, to anything really.
