PlanoHydro Flo Box

I have had the Hydro-flo box for approximately one month (at the time of this review) and like the product so far. I was initially worried that treble hook points might protrude through the tiny holes causing an aggravation, but so far that has not been an issue. I have been using the 3700 size for storing lipless crankbaits, and it seems to fit the application well. The concept certainly seems like it should work well for hard baits that you switch colors or sizes often and place the baits back in the box while still wet (such as crankbaits and rattletraps). I have not had the product long enough yet to determine if it really helps deter corrosion of the baits. I would not recommend this box for storing items that you would not typically place back in the box wet, such as swivels, weights, and other terminal tackle. The box seems to be well made and durable, and has quality latches. The price I paid on Amazon for this box was cheaper than I found in any of the big outdoor stores at the time.

Good for saltwater fishing. The Florida heat has killed a bunch of my mirrolures, rapala, etc. This seems to help by letting the lures get ventilation and it also seems to prevent rust/corrosion on the hooks by lettin them air out.This is all I will buy from now on.

I was looking for some storage for my micro-drip watering parts and I found this amazing tray. It fits everything I need and if it gets wet, it will drip dry. When I need more space, I will get another one of these. I also love that it is made in the USA.

Water ends up getting in even the best made tackle boxes and, if left there, it rusts hooks. The aeration system on the Hydro Flo gives the water a place to go so that the tackle box can dry out and avoid the rust. Otherwise, it is like any other tackle box.

I can do nothing but praise Plano for these Hydro Flo boxes. They are great quality, and do what they are suppose to. They are lightweight and four will fit perfectly into a 30L backpack with room to spare.

These are great tackle boxes. They make it very easy to rinse your gear after fishing in salt water.

As expected, I already had a larger one and like that I can rinse lures inside the case then set out to dry.

Patches are really good . It will hold up a long time with lots of abuse !

Use these mainly for drying jigs and soft plastics, but other baits as well, as I swap them out during the day on the water. Keeps the baits out of the way and let's them dry before returning them to their proper places in the tackle bag. They don't get stepped on, colours don't bleed into other baits, nothing gets wrecked. Perfect.
