Can this be used in 10,000 mile increments? ie the fram ones for the 2008 tundras are only 5,000 miles. thanks!

I rent Tunda's in Alaska. You need to use synthetic oil (0w-20w oil only comes in synthetic) which has a much longer lifespan than standard oil. You should always use OEM (Toyota) filters as others might not have bleed-back valves and other technologies specific to the requirements the Toyota has designed or discovered is required to insure longevity of the motor.  Toyota filters say 10000, so it would even go 20000 miles no problem. Since the oil is the most expensive part (not the filter), and if your not using it in extreme conditions (hot environments or heavy demands ie towing big trailers a lot or racing around with a lead foot) , what we do is change the filter every 10000 miles (without draining all the oil ie removing the pan drain plug and draining the oil). You will loose a pint - a quart of oil out of the filer change, so then you fill it back up to the correct level on the dipstick with new oil of the same viscosity and brand. 10000 miles later, you change the whole works (filter and now drain and change the oil).We do the same process for our other vehicles; except those filters (still oem) are usually rated for 3000 miles which we run to 5000 miles (as 3000 is just to sell you more filters and OEM is much better and safer). Change the filter every 5000 miles, change the oil every 10000. This can only be done safely using a high quality synthetic oil like Mobile1.One other thing of note is that even Toyota uses 5w30 often times vs 0w-20 (I believe it the stated weight on the 2007+ Tundra's, but I'm on vacation so not in front of my data sheets). But I would stick to the 0w oil for at least the first 50000 miles. Once the engine has more miles, I think it is much better to use 5w-30 as there is more clearance on the internal parts. Though if you were in very cold environments, I would wait for like 75000 miles so the oil is thinner at start up. If you do an internet search on oil Tundra you will see a ton of opinions on this, almost way too many. I spent a lot of hours researching this specifically on Tundra's to come to this above conclusions. Bottom line is ALLWAYS use oem filters for any vehicle as there is often a reason they don't just stuff a fram filter in the vehicle from the factory. I learned this the hard way over the years. Bleed back valves keep you from have 0 oil pressure when you start the vehicle every morning. It will hold pressure in the system so you don't have dry starts. I also use Lucas oil additive on all my rigs to help elevate the dry start issues, and I order this from Amazon too. My business (Hollis Adventure Rentals) is in Alaska on a remote Island. Amazon Prime makes all this affordable and their customer service and product backing is a big part of my profitability. Yea that was a plug for me and them, but it is honestly such a blessing to be able to deal with occasional problems in a matter of minutes vs hours and its important to appreciate and vocalize about companies that take such good care of their loyal customers. Also I added more information as a comment to my own response (as I had just woken up when I wrote this and this filter is just paper so no back flow valve, nothing like I have ever seen). The comment has a lot of other useful information I learned as well so if you made it through this answer, I don't ever write this stuff on Amazon, but the amount of time I have in to learning justifies the time to share it.
