There are better options.
Initial setup had some challenges, but I was able to resolve them within a short period of time. Inside the Hub is a Raspberry Pi Zero which sells for $40 on Amazon. The application provided to work with the Pi Zero is a modified version of Octoprint. Every time you log into the page it says the "Raspberry Pi Zero is not compatible with Octoprint"I was able to get it to do a test calibration, but there were communication issues trying to print other things with the Hub. Do note I have had my Palette 2s work with great success when NOT using the Hub, I just didn't feel it was worth the value to troubleshoot it furtherSo to sum it up, for all intents and purposes, They put their own shell on a $40 Pi Zero, before putting their name on a modified version of a free product. That free product is Octoprint, and there is a free Canvas plug in. So I'm not really sure what you are paying 3x the price for with the Canvas Hub, but it is definitely not for added value.

Simply wouldn’t work how it’s supposed to
It wouldn’t even send out a WiFi signal for me to set it up. Tried for hours. IT's too late know to return. I wish they would accept returns for more than just 30 days now. it used to be 90 days. anyways, I am very dissatisfied that I bought a $70 piece of junk. I literally just bought a pi, got octoprint running on it and installed the pallete plugins. total cost 50 max. plus, you can use it for other projects if it doesn't work out. This is absolute garbage. Do not buy.

If you want multi-color 3d printing out of the box, this is it.
I own several 3d printers, I have other multi-material/ color printer attachments. They all gave me grief and always had problems with failed prints. I heard about the Palette 2 and canvas hub. I should of pre-ordered and selected the Pro version but I waited. I ordered the Palette 2 and Canvas Hub. All I can say is wow. This thing just works. The hub makes it very easy to connect from the laptop to the palette to the printer. As of now, I have had zero failed prints. It is getting better and better as the firmware is updated for both the palette and the hub.Only bad thing I have to say is not about the product but for me not jumping on the pre-order and grabbing the pro version. I would recommend this to anyone with or without printing experience as it just works as it should.

If you have octoprint, skip this
This is basically a Raspberry Pi Zero with an expansion for extra USB slots in a nice case.I think the Pi Zero was a poor choice as it runs too slow. If you wanted to connect a camera, it could be done, but streaming video would be a struggle with it.Its biggest downfall at the moment, is the Canvas slicer program. With the Canvas slicer not working correctly more than it is, $80 for a Pi Zero is pretty much as waste. Support is aware that Canvas is not working as its "still in beta" and they are hoping for an update inthe next week or two. Once that gets taken care of, this might do it. It will function great with the Palette 2 in theory. If it does, you'll never have to shuffle SD cards to and from your pc.If you already have Octoprint, its a single thing to download 2 files from the plugin manager. It'll function just like Canvas hub. The files are not listed in the file directory. You have to get the URL from the Mosaic website, then install the Pallete plugin first, then the Canvas. Thats it.If Canvas gets fixed, this would be a great addition to the Palette 2, if you dont already have Octoprint.

Defective Product by all accounts
I really thought this would be a good product based on all of mosaic's reviews. I have come to realize that no, this is not a good product at all. I was able to connect to it through my wifi, but then found that it didn't recognize my palette 2, nor my printer. It is even unable to download the plugins to connect it to my canvas account. Octoprint, the service that this canvas hub is providing, strictly warns users not to use a raspi zero. Yet canvas hub IS a pi zero.
